But I have to say I'm still not convinced with that sculpt. That could be the proverbial stunt double. I may pick him up when he goes on heavy discount.

Hmmm...becoming a little conflicted. My finances are becoming a little tight and I have too many different preorders. He is the only one I have not started paying on yet with all of my others one payment away from being complete. If I cancel any, it may have to be him. Hopefully I can figure this out as I really wanted to recreate the final lightsaber fight from force awakens. Otherwise, I may have to settle for "half" of the fight with my already received Kylo Ren and my one payment from completion Rey.

In hand pictures seem to be showing this as being a pretty decent sculpt, actually. Still not as good as the proto in my opinion, but not as bad as initially thought with those first few posted images of the production figure. My initial reaction was that the lips were ridiculously oversized, but as a few have pointed out, lips can alter in size depending on the facial expression one is making. Still don't have any intentions of picking this figure up at the moment, but at least glad to see the sculpt doesn't seem to be quite as bad as initially thought. I never really thought it was downright horrible to begin with, but it did leave a lot to be desired. The in hand pictures are elevating it a bit.

I'm surprised we haven't seen any reviews of the Riot Trooper accompanying Finn. I'm curious to see if it will have better articulation.

Someone mentioned the trooper articulation and said it was much better but I don't remember who. May have been on Figure Junkie's video. I would assume they changed the undersuit material then. I'm hoping they did.

Certainly does look better there in natural light, alas most do, but not great when compared to the proto.

Yeah, everything looks better in that nice sunlight.

I hope the initial reaction was SSF's usual overreaction, but I do think the proto was better. The influx of in hand pics will be good to see however.

It's a lovely set, no doubt about it.
But that sculpt is just so poor in comparison to what we could have had.
If we hadn't seen the proto then I'm sure everyone would be happy with this.

His expression is fitting for the 2 pack where you can pose him against the FO Riot trooper.

Idk, just seems like there was an overreaction to the Finn headsculpt.

It's not a bad figure, I don't think anyone is saying that. It's just so disappointing after the incredibly impressive proto sculpt.
For people that pre-ordered that's not an over reaction at all.
It's simply a far inferior head sculpt to what was originally shown. I was 100% gonna get him, now I'm not, simply because that sculpt isn't as good. It's a pretty lacklustre figure overall, just because it's a man in a jacket. A lot was riding on its strengths. A top notch head sculpt, and well.. It had one, now it doesn't.

That's it. I was sold on this as it was one of HTs best likeness in my eyes.

Now, well, it just fits in with the majority of their SW lines.
