I noticed there's nothing saying "Edition Size TBD" on both the exclusive, and individual regs sets. Kinda odd. Hope theyre not going to slap on Limited Edition.

I noticed that too. If there is no edition size that might stray me from purchasing. I see people saying SS will determine the edition size but that doesn't make sense. Prime 1 will determine the edition size if any.

I sent an e-mail to SS asking why there was no edition size and if they were open edition. They responded that for now there was no edition size and that if Prime 1 updated them with an edition size they would add it to the sale webpage.

So... No information really. :lol

I'm a noob, could you explain what is meant by "edition size" and why you would hope it isn't limited edition?

Collectible are usually limited, thus them being collectible, with the possibility to maybe make more money later on.

If edition sizes are large or open, meaning there is no limit set yet, then the likelihood of them increasing in value or even needing to preorder is greatly diminished.

Those with limited / small edition, if received well, tend to hold their value and go up. As people are reselling them for more on the aftermarket.

Why pay a higher aftermarket price for a piece you want, if you can buy it for retail?

I am still debating on jumping on these now or later.

I would like to think most collectors such as myself are more concerned with our statues holding it's value, rather than going up in price, and reselling them in the aftermarket. Especially in this point in time in this hobby, where you spend retail, and when the time comes to let go, you can't even get back the money you spent. Thats my concern, and reasoning for wanting low edition sizes. And heck, if they rise in value, its only a bonus!

I loved this movie as a kid, and still do. Must've seen it over 30 times. Just don't have the room or funds for these 4 I'm sad to say. A 1:1 Mikey bust would've been ideal for me, but Prime 1 don't tend to do that kind of thing. If I go for Mikey alone, he's gonna stand out amongst the Aliens and Predators. And i'd want all four. Will probably just go for the NECAs and tuck them away somewhere, under the bed. Where I hide the rest of my shame. lol

There is no shame in owning even one of these. That is all :lecture :)

theres a tiny bit of shame lol

I mentioned to a friend I was thinking about getting a set of 4 20" turtles for 3K+ and he looked at me like I was a crazy person. Sometimes I think you have to be a lil crazy to be in this hobby tho. lol

I'm sure he was just green with jealous rage. The two looks are often mistaken. Buy them all. Push him over the edge.

Nope still no shame. Some people will appreciate it some won't I've come to terms with it. I'm at peace with my problems :lol

Just curious, is everyone on here relatively well off? I'm starting to notice everyone on here just buys bascially anything that comes out. I guess I'm the only one who as a budget.

Either well off or maxed out credit cards :)

I'm at the point now that if I want a new statue I have to sell off an old one to make space... so I've been filling my statue habit with Iron Studios 1/10 stuff, much cheaper and takes up a lot less space.. :)

I'll be living off of leftover ketchup packets for the next year and a half... or until supplies run out...
