Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Hey guys - I've had a bad run with this line - both my Batmans have broken, Freeze has scratched paint, etc. So I'm planning on listing my "collection (LOL)" on Ebay but figured I'd stop here first since some of you guys customize. Looking for $55 shipped for this lot. Even though the figures are intact, consider EVERYTHING broken since I have no idea what will survive shipping. I have loads of feedback here and my Ebay handle is audiobot.

PM me if interested. Listing on Ebay tonight so I'm not looking to hold onto this stuff until the 10th of never (no offense but lots of people here flake out).

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

how horrific are these images. how can they placidly produce and sell such a juck?! I can't believe it!
Thanks god, BTAS-Batman was my one and only. I'm not willing in supporting this line of junk any further. I'll wait another 20(+) years till a COMPETENT producer shows up with new stuff. (Hottoys maybe? : D)

[Edit] I always wanted an AUTHENTIC Bruce Wayne figure with original outfit, but NOT with this junk line! Sorry, DCC but you failed! F A I L E D!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

For the record, I did a lot of damage to those Batman figures trying to cobble one functional figure from the crumbs.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Well, for the price I think this line has been awesome and I am very happy with it. Any damaged figures I had were graciously replaced by DCC. I have had Hot Toys arrive broken as well, it just happens especially here with a lower end product.

I am glad they are doing it and I hope DCC goes really deep with this line. They can keep it going for a long time.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Unfortunately I asked my comic shop about replacement and they dragged it out for months and then finally refused to take them back because I couldn't locate all the accessories for both figures (my btas Batman had been broken for almost a year by then).

I'm happy for everyone who has had better luck and is enjoying the line. And I've honestly had more breaks on Neca figures than DC. I just hit my personal threshold.

I have 2 figures from Neca: Altaïr (Assassin's Creed for the ones of you who don't know him) and Alex Mercer (Prototype) and both are fine. no lacks at all. I'm only a bit sad that Alex has no leg and foot articulations at all ^^;

I hope I don't need to repead myself again, but I said more than once that I have lots of figures LOWER than 25$ that have BETTER quality than these DCCs and that's a shame. how can mcdonalds make good quality for under 2$ and DCC can't for 25$?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I find it unfair to bash the entire line and DCC as a whole because of a couple of people who had a bad experience with one or two figures (from Wave 2 - now).

DCC has really improved the quality of these figures since Wave 2, after the QC issues with Wave 1.
It adressed the problems with Wave 1, asked customers to contact them and has supported anyone.

Any company has problems every now and then. Neca, Hot Toys, Bandai, Mattel...
I've had bad runs with Neca, with 2 figures completely deteriorating.
I've had had runs with Mattel and Kenner, too.
And I've seen Hot Toys figures have their clothes deteriorate with time.

It's really unfair to claim DCC is the only company with eventual problems, when it's clearly not.

The figures of the Batman Animated line have been great since Wave 2.

I certainly wasnt saying DC is the only company with problems. But as far as the improvements go, my BTAS Batman broke just as fast as my NE Batman. So my personal experience, which is all that matters to any of us, is that they didn't improve at all. I wouldn't devalue the opinion of people who are enjoying the line because I've had issues.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I think this line is garbage personally. Couple that with with the $28 price hike a figure and it just isn't worth collecting. My breaking point was my Batmobile wheels. I've experienced junk all the way back to when it was Wave 1 with broken Batman ankles and Catwoman arms, it's continued now to the most recent releases. You shouldn't have to fear posing a figure for the first time, but I know if I move my regular BTAS Batman or my Joker, the hips are going to ****ing snap. :lol

Best thing about the line has been the customer service and the character selection and assortments. That's where they've really shined in my opinion. Kudos to Kevin and the gang. It's just a shame that everything is so poorly designed with the perhaps the worst plastic I've seen since NECA. It's just straight up garbage. If it isn't loose, it's broken, if it isn't loose or broken, it's molding or missing paint applications. It just sucks.

Excuse me, but BTAS Batman is wave 4, isn't he? I see a broken one in that photo -.-

I don't really understand what everyone is talking about NECA here, because I only have 2 figures from them and they are fine and completely perfect. never heard any horror stories about their stuff at all. :/

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Damn these are $28 a pop?

They will be. The Gordon wave is the last wave we'll get at $25. These should have been no more than $20 from the start.

Anyways, geez. Those pictures were like a toy graveyard haha. Brutal. I still haven't had anything actually break on me, fortunately (knock on wood), so I'm digging this line, minus the price tags, which I'll say incessantly lol. Sorry to those of you who have had bad luck with these, it's a real shame :(

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Long live the Kenner toys!!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

(attempting to lift this thread's mood up a bit)
I recommend opening figures one at a time every couple of weeks or so. I'm generally super busy, so my schedule doesn't allow for much more than that, but I've found that it really helps with these long delays. Anyway, I just opened The Riddler the other day and wanted show my pose I gave him. I really like this one a lot. : )
