i wish they made the poo/brown version 2.0 too. i like that version better.
and seeing its still rubber they used...this is Hot to the effin Toys.
we got screwed with ED209 same dome rubber issues.
its pretty safe to say that rubber is ****ed too.

same rule applies for HT xenos, invest in modge podge. use glossy not dull for xenos.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see them do that again and it'd likely be a Toy Event Exclusive. It might really depend on how well this one sells too.

I'm glad I got rid of my old Xenos just before all the issues started cropping up.

i remember how challenging it became to pose unaided due to its handicap(weak joints).
but it looked great in low light.
decided i'd rather keep the doggie to maintain.
3 doggies still in possession.lolz

The dog is great - don't think they'll redo that one. Alien3 is fantastic in my opinion but doesn't seem to be the popular opinion. I'll keep my old warrior as well and see how it looks with the new one. It's not gonna be worth much anyways.

what i like about the doggie is you can pose it on all fours.

not a popular movie, but i like the alien:resurrection xenos.
i like the chicken legs variation, they look more agile.
i may reconsider getting another xeno if they made it.
but this 2.0 is a pass for me now.

I never realised hot toys actually did a dog alien till now. Always thought they stuck to the first two films. I wonder though if they'd do a dog alien now though if they see how much love the neca version got and still getting.

if i dedicate a shelf for xenos, it will most likely be doggies.
i'd glue one on the side or top panel, or do both. swarm scene.
the doggie can do crouching poses well too without a stand, need the tail to balance.

i do get @Blade's comment about this "new" rubber suit same deteriorating rubber on the 2.0.
it gets boring with a capital B just standing there. and posing tears the suit dilemma running through your head. lolz

i don't know what rubber rot on A1 people are talking about. i bought a HT A1 modified including taking most paint off (which means lots of stress to rubber during work), it doesn't deteriorate.

you stripped big chap's paint off? did you treat/coat it after?

I bought all my aliens used and apart from a bit of paint flaking and a rubber tear by the wrist of my dog alien they are all good. The dog collects a lot of dust and has lost its shine, but otherwise I don't see rubber issues. My Dallas and Kane are both fine too.

not me. i bought it together with a diorama from a seller who made many dioramas. he slightly reshaped the head and did something with the skin, so it became grey/black instead of raptorish striped. i don't know what he did, but he mentioned taking the paint off. i didn't see any treat/coat on it. that rubber is normal, unlike ED-209.

of course, there is no guarantee they will use same reliable rubber this time!

That looks pretty awesome. What's a reasonable price for big chap and dog xenos these days?

Guys, question: I have a chance to get a Big Chap at a reasonable price, should I go for it so it can go along with this one? Or should I wait for a Big Chap 2.0? Will there ever be one?

Now that they are releasing the aliens warrior i doubt they'll be in any rush to re-release big chap 2.0 or even dog alien 2.0 for that matter. Ht rarely visits alien or aliens and its likely this is the only xenomorph figure we'll see for a long time.

thats a great reworking of the Big Chap. Out of the box it's a horrible inaccurate thing.

It just occurred to me that they are charging $265 for that ridiculous "Alien Girl" figure. Hell, this is a bargain!

If it's a decent price, I would go for it. Best case scenario, we'll get an announcement in a few months, and figure gets released early 2017. More likely scenario is that we don't get one announced for a good long while, if at all. Might as well get the old one now. You can re-sell later if need-be.

PO'd this already! Maybe they have improved the rubber since the last iterations. I was wondering why there are no silver teeth? Cant wait for Ripley and fingers are crossed for a Queen!

I think it looks great...Not to mention the secondary market prices for the earlier ones is waaaay too high.
