It is the old one. The prototype photos for the original Big Chap figure showed off a much nicer paint app with rust colors and other effects. There's nothing new about the image they showed whatsoever.

That ugly sculpt is unmistakeable.

The total mystery about this line bugs me.

A) we don't know if or when these Ripleys will be released (nothing less than a preorder confirms these will be made)
B) we don't know if they intend to make anything else - personally I don't want to restart a high-end Alien collection unless it will also include at least a Hicks 2.0.

Alien (1) Ripley will always be the original and would be my choice.
...but Alien is also my favorite of the movies so makes it easy for me.

Aliens Ripley in the hive. Definitive.

Guess we have each of score here for both Ripley, anyway thanks for the opinion though.

Definitely a difficult choice but probably the original "Alien" version. I can always do some 1/6 figure surgery on a second one to create an "Aliens" version...

The Ripley picture comes from the 2016. I know it doesn't mean they will release her but least she is in there.

Yes, that Batmobile '66 page was from an older catalog. All the pages from the new one are here:

It's actually Hot Toys Japan who puts these out, and they often have a mix of existing and future releases (which maybe explains the Big Chap).

But they're not 100% reliable: They once had The Lone Ranger too.

everything first is more iconic by definition, because the second is just speculation.

We MIGHT still get this!!

The only defnites in the Alien line are the Elder Predator and the Alien Girl (for $265 ). Brilliant.

Catalogue means jack really. Was the old Arnie figure the only Terminator Genysis one shown? If that's the case it's funny how they don't show the endo that we saw last year, but they show Ripley that we haven't seen since 2014 lol. I just think they're trying to fill the pages of the catalogue, so they just add whichever ones will fit.

In the case of said Endo (unless you mean the T-Jayzuss one), it was clearly window dressing & I think most folks realized that.

As far as I'm aware, there's been no mention or teaser of an actual new 1/6 Endo from the earlier films yet.

I think this is more significant then some are giving it. For instance, both The Lone Ranger and The 66 Batmobile were shown in these catalogues and have not been offered preorders for either. However with Ripley we saw her at SDCC a year and a half ago and never heard Hot Toys say one thing about her until now when she shows up in a catalogue showing figures for 2016. This can't be a "they just needed to fill a page with something" incident. That would be far to costly to print something they didn't intend to sell. And they did intend to sell Lone Ranger and 66 batmobile when they were shown in the catalogue. I'm looking forward to a preorder sometime this year. Time will tell.

there was a photo with a chromed endoskeleton different in shape from 1/4 and very different in construction from old 1/6.

I don't think the situation is as dire as either the '66 Batmobile or The Lone Ranger. But I'd be surprised if we saw a PO this year.
