Hot Toys Sandtrooper MMS 295

My second complete Sandtrooper just shipped. That's two orange shoulders and one HT figure that I set up as a sergeant that I have now. This one will go in the office and I'm pretty sure I will put him with some custom Marmit figures for a small squadron....i'll eventually use HT helmets as Hot Toys makes more Sandtroopers.

I really admire the work done by HT here.

Is there a trick to keeping the rod straight? It's annoying.

Are you talking about the rod that's holding the patrol droid?

I think the droid is back heavy so what I did was have him facing towards the trooper and he seems pretty good there.

I think he's talking about the rod that holds the droid. You just have to shove it in the stand with a good push. It will sit straight up at that point.

Very glad I also scored a second from a local retailer (especially since it was a steal @ $277.5 CAD shipped -- sold out now). Should be here in Feb.

I think he's talking about the rod that holds the droid. You just have to shove it in the stand with a good push. It will sit straight up at that point.

I've tired shoving it in as far as it will go but if the droid is facing in certain directions it will just lean right into the figure.

That's not all the way in. There might be some plastic blocking the path but it should be at this level with the helmet.

No prob. Yeah the first one I had went in fine and then I got a second stand for Luke and on that one it had to be really jammed in so thought it might be something like that. Glad it worked out.

Still waiting for my sandtrooper. Seeing all the pictures here, I realise that everyone is using the same pose because you are basically forced to put the feet in the two footprint. So I decided to make my own base with real sand (from model kits at hobby shop)

Great looking stand.

That is my big complaint about this figure. Would have much preferred no footprints on the base. Even though I like the standard pose, would have been much more versatile without them.
