That's great. You gotta appreciate the imagination and ingenuity of the older games when they had so much less to work with than nowadays... but has aged gracefully.

P_A and I are in agreement, that there's something just so alluring about the fixed backgrounds used in 1-3... especially in RE2 and 3, since Raccoon City was given such a brilliant atmosphere.

As much as I am a PS3 fan (& that gen) to a degree.. the bells & whistles that new games offer don't get me that excited. I just like great, well constructed games with memorable characters & solid graphics, & RE1 - 3 can definitely boast those things.

Most things retro, up to about PS2 / Gamecube gen is where I'm really at.

It's pretty akin to how films now are so reliant upon CGI and don't even know how to use it. Games nowadays just come off assembly lines... but games from the PS1 and PS2 era had love put into them.
