Hot Toys MMS146- Thor (Chris Hemsworth) 1/6 Limited Edition Figure Full Specs...

Nice updates, TDW body looks better that the Avengers one IMO, but i just updated mines oh well lol.

I've shared this elsewhere but not here.

This is my Thor V1 with the Avengers body.

Great photo! I think the avengers body looks just as good as the dark world body. Anything is better then what it came with really.

I cannot argue with that. I just think the dark world look a little better is the spacing between the "scales" are a lot tighter, but thats a more aesthetic taste. To each their own :lol

the only problem i have with the avengers sleeves is it kinda peeks out the chest armor if you try to change the pose.
other wise it's golden.

Did the original mms146 come with the rock base for mjolnir? (I see some pictures where it's packaged with a rock base but it's not listed in the specs) Also, does the helmet fit on the new TDW figures?

Yeah, he came with the rock base. I remember it being a pleasant surprise when Thor started arriving. I don't think the helmet fits on any of the other Thor figures because the hair that makes that possible on this figure is VERY flat. But I haven't tried it myself.

Yup, rock base is included. Nope, helmet will not fit any of the Thor head sculpts without modifications.

Do you by any chance know how this was modded to fit, or if it's a custom helmet? Wanna try the same thing if it isn't too hard. :wink1:

Received this figure in the mail earlier today and just had the opportunity to open it. Despite generally being considered the least favorite of the Thors thus far, I personally think he looks a lot better in hand than in pictures. I really like the helmet and I like the slight sparkle of the chainmail. Added him to my Asgardian shelf to round out my single Thor collection (Avengers Thor is with the Avengers). Unfortunately, I had to move out the chainmail sleeved TDW Thor temporarily until I can make more room.

Congrats on the pick up. I have each of the Thor figures myself. This versions heads sculpt is my least favorite, but I still think it's decent. And the helmet is great. My only issue with this figure is the cape attatchement. But outside of that it's a pretty good figure.

Thanks, Motux! Your quibbles with the figure are precisely mine as well. The sculpt is my least favorite also, but I too think that the likeness is decent. I personally didn't really care for Chris's bleached hair, eyebrows and beard in the film, but being that's how they were, the sculpt is accurate in that sense. I didn't really care for the cape attachment either, but it was a lot easier to do and looks a lot better than say, the cape attachment for TDKR DX12 Batman figure. And the helmet is awesome indeed. Definitely had to put it on being that it's the only Thor figure that includes it. Like you said, overall a pretty good figure. I'm pleased with him. :)

Like Odin I think he looks better with helmet on. Although the face is my least favourite of the lot, it's the hair that really throws him off for me. Plus if I was to have every Thor to date (to late to the party to have that now), you really need the helmet on for a point of difference against the other Thors..

I concur.

The helmet definitely sets him apart from the rest of the Thors. I'm not too fond of the magnetic hair (one for regular hair and one for helmet wearing hair), as you can see a slight partition in his hair where hair detaches from the sculpt. Having the helmet on, in addition to looking awesome, hides this. He looks really good standing next to Odin with both wearing their helmets.

Ordered... the appeal of having every HT Thor was too much for me, yelp! :thud:

Hate the hair (piece), but I think for the age it looks good with the helmet, and I think the rock base will add something different. Now if only somehow (the price of) Avengers Loki was justifiable in any universe...

You'll like it. Definitely utilize the helmet accessory, being that it's also an accessory that none of the other Thor figures come with.

The pictures don't really do the figure justice. This is one of those figures that looks better in hand than in the pictures. He's actually my third favorite Thor figure, behind AoU Thor and TDW LA Thor. I never was really overly impressed with it merely based on the pictures alone, but I got anyway to complete my Thor collection of possessing every HT Thor figure. I ended up liking it a lot more than I thought I would.

Yeah, now if only I could get Odin and Avenger Loki... :lol

I have actually seen Odin on Trade Me (which is like ebay, and local to New Zealand) for pick-up only. Been relisted a few times with no bites and few page views... I'm not flying up north to pick him up though, lol.
