FYI: Got several e-mails this morning from Sideshow pushing back my final Flex payments till January for Tauriel, Bard, Aragorn, Saruman and Mouth of Sauron.

And now I'm sad. :monkey2

Re-dressed and re-posed...

Looks great!

Do you find in-person that the light patches on his chin/beard look a bit paint-rub-y? I did a little touch up on mine last night.

He looks great, W-G!

Thanks guys!

I do find the chin to be a little "paint rub-y"... but on mine from afar it looks OK, up close not so much. I may tweak it but I just got done with a 2nd-round futzing so its like I don't even want to touch it right now. :lol

:lol that strap is crazy. No, I think I'll keep it, I kind of like it. Doesn't read to the eye like it does in pics.

I may in time re-futz for the 3rd time... just for fun. Maybe when I find out where things actually go better. Like the pipe. And how his straps really are tied, etc. I stuffed the feet so the boots don't get so skinny at the ankle. Never know what else will become apparent as more people get this and work it.

Like all of Asmus' figures, this is a real beauty but it does take a little time to get everything working well and in balance.

That's one of the many things I thought about at work today while appearing to work. :lol

Looks much better!

I don't like that the Elven Broach sits vertically on him.. It's most certainly not supposed to be that way.

That being said, if that's my biggest pet peeve, that's not the worst thing, I suppose.

Does the headsculpt and neck consist of a single piece? Lowering the neck somehow would make him look better I think, but how to do it hmm.

The head has a ball joint affixed to the head, so you cannot adjust it. The neck itself is a bit long, but the neck joint cannot be pushed further down. You could trim the rubber of the neck but you run the risk of it showing.

I alleviated some of the 'long neck' by pushing the neck forward and down. It's about the best you'll get without a body swap or serious neck surgery.

I'm not even assembling my Aragorn until Wor-Gar gets to Futz #11. Them I'm just gonna do what he did and never check this thread again. :duff

Thanks for posting up your pics, Wor-Gar. They've tipped me over the edge and this king will be my next figure for sure.

Question: Does the gray undershirt have any detailing for an Amon Hen set up or is it pretty plain? I was planning on going for a Strider look (no brooch, gauntlets, etc) but I watched that scene last night and it's so good. The moment when he leaves Frodo and rounds the corner on all those Uruks gives me man-chills.

Also (aside), whatever happened to that mixed media gloved hand from the proto? I really liked that guy.
