Have you seen the paint quality on some of sideshows life size busts especially humanoids....

Guess just have to agree to disagree, I have owned at least a few hundred ss statues since I started and the paint app and sculpt on this bust is one of the best I have seen. I can't find a single fault or paint overflows.

Its the typical Factory paint Job. Probably same factory SS uses. I had High expectations. I was going to order the Rosenberg Bust but will pass now. The Alien Busts are still good for the price. I thought I was going to see a different level of quality compared to SS, but its the same. I like the "Close Encounters" Bust better then this one.

Looks much better than most of the garbage SS produces based on those pics, IMO.

Sideshow would have painted the eyes.

For $400, these are well worth the price. People will be kicking themselves in the future on the Rosenburg bust. It's the best non custom bust I've ever seen.

I know just by owning the ECC Reaper that the paint app will be miles better. For a start, SS do not do translucent resin which makes a huge difference.
And yeah, you would have had a cross eyed alien :lol

Dont get me wrong, SS can be good when they want to be but those pieces are few and far between.

I think Medusa is going to be very pricey, but maybe the lack of license fees will keep it lower. We'll see

After receiving this I'm now considering the massive Medusa bust.

ECC have said on their facebook page that they have lots of cool stuff planned for next year, I'll be willing to bet it includes a 1:3 Medusa maquette as well as the bust, they have also hinted at Gremlins 2, which makes sense since Steve Wang worked on the film.

A 1/3 Medusa? Yes please!
