I don't understand why so much hate? lol for me competition is always good because at the end WE the customers will get the benefit

Competition only matters when the competing company delivers

and if it doesn't, shame on them...lol but again we as customers will have CHOICES

No more choices then we have had so far. They are operating under the same umbrella and licenses that PI has had since 2006. So as long or longer then hot toys. So this is a zero sum. No change. Par for the course. Status unchanged. That's what people are pointing out. This company has been producing under that license this whole time.

So cool. I don't think it will be in a comfortable enough price range for me though.

Ah, cool. :)

The price will probably be $800 to $900 but worth it.

So close bud. Only slightly off....by nearly 9000 dollars.

They way it looks the are not actually selling any. This appears to be the prototype and they are giving it away. Industry rumors are they over extended and didn't realize the production costs and are more or less scrapping it. Though I would bet they may never have intended to sell it and just used it as advertising. That's all speculation on my part though.

Ouch. Hopefully their 1/12-scale Igor fares better. Doesn't matter to me either way since Sentinel's Hulkbuster is the only one I really care about.

I believe the spec says it's 25cm tall, so ~1/10 scale. It won't be as imposing as Hot Toys' offering or this, but I feel like at that level of size and bulk you're essentially buying a statue. Joints will ratchet under a lot of force, posing will make me nervous because it could fall, etc. I prefer more dynamic, comic-inspired looks so Sentinel's slimmed down (but still aggressively-styled) figure is my favourite so far.

What I'm trying to say is, none of the bigger Hulkbusters look both dynamic and larger-than-life at once; they channel the CG movie design well, but none scream 'comic-book hero'.

This, on the other hand, is comic-book hero material.

New info:

So looks like these will be produced around 1000 units worldwide. 6000 USD each which is less then the original 10,000 USD promo info we saw last year.

Impressive piece. Not $6000 impressive, but impressive nonetheless. It's such a gamble to spend any amount of money on CC given their QC issues in the past. Let alone $6000. Interested to see if anyone plans on picking this up.

Still waiting for a normal 1/4 from them. I'm skeptical on this.

It looks amazing. But so did the mk42 proto and so on. At 6k it's still hard to see this selling a thousand units. I hope I'm wrong. Id love to be wrong. Like I said, it looks good.

Keep in mind statue collectors spend over 6k on certain pieces. 6k is in line with the other 1/4 scale hulkbusters. This is the only one with die cast and moving parts. I really don't think they would invite Anthony to a private room and give him a price of 6k when the original 1/4 Hulkbuster that was given away was valued at 10k.

You yourself said that 1/4 Hulkbuster was the only one and was only produced for promotion then given away to a winner of that contest last year.

Anthony is showing us they have another one built.
Good things come to those who wait.

I don't think it is. I heard the KA was in the 2k range.

Edit-the KA is 16,500hkd or around 2150usd. So stil 4000 usd cheaper.
The imaginarium is 1999.95usd so still 4000usd cheaper. As far as I can tell the only 1/4 in the 6k range, if it's true and the only thing they have out in print says its 10,000usd, is the CMC one. Sorry bud but if you know of ones more expensive I couldn't find them and obviously not all are 6000.

As for statue collectors spending 6k..I get that. But that doesn't this will sell. It comes from a company with an at best unproven record and at worst horrid. (Mk42 1/4 for example). They have shown the 43 and 45 1/4 but neither have released. I get that some people will spend money. I'm not trying to brag or anything..but I have piece well over the 6k window. But I am unsure if I'd get this despite how cool I think it is. Not until I was confident the company was going to do support and other things.

Aside from that I'm not confident this will get released. Despite the show. This is not the first time they did this. With the prototype they gave away they did something similar. And they spent months friending every blogger and hype artist on the net and using the Aou red carpet attention to drum up interest. It seemed odd/fishy. And as I said...they said something completly different at the show where they gave the 1/4 HB away.

As I said..love to be wrong. But this feels like same old hat. Drum up interest with over the top prototypes and shows and use it to sell something else. Happened with PI. Happened with super alloy. So far, happend with CMC (not a single 1/4 figure released from the 3 shown in April last year and not even up for order..) they have been using this license to do this for longer then hot toys has existed. All the complaining people do about hot toys..with unreleased product...these guys blow hot toys out of the water by a factor over 50. (Not kidding..)

If it releases and comes out well I'll be the first to say well done. Until then they have not done anything to boost my confidence.

Wait, the other 1/4 scale hulkbusters were $6k? I thought they were only a few grand.

King arts 1/4 Hulkbuster is 3600 USD plus shipping which is said to be around 1000 due to no US dealers having stock of him. So pretty much you have to pay for air mail.

Just as an example my Ultimetal Optiums Prime was 180 USD to ship from HK. It weighs 20lbs with all shipping material.

ComicCave would be in its own class having animatronics and die cast. Most likely will be more in the range of 7000 shipped if no US dealers carry him. Bluefin is a US ComicCave dealer but only sells to other dealers and not individual consumers

For me personally I started with 1/6 and bought every Iron Man armor all Dioramas then moved to 1/4, now I'm into statues and unique items that are not as mass produced.

I guess in the end I'm keeping a positive outlook for this Struggling company who is only producing 1/12. Scale figures and a weird line happy meal spongebob toys for some reason.

I'm glad we have not seen a pre order for him because that would be too reminiscent of the old company model. So maybe they have learned from their mistakes and just taking it real slow.

And if anyone didn't know this is the same license PI has had since 2006(the marvel license) which was spun off into a new company called super alloy when PI got bad press with their name. Then super alloy was spun off into CMC. it's the same license. Same ownership group. It had to be the same company or they couldn't keep the license. Just renamed it. You can't just give the license away if you want. That's why I say they have a history of this behavior.

But even if you just go from When PI started referring to CMC there's 4 1/4 protos show and not a one has even gone up for order.
