It is true. Constantin does Own fantastic four. It was never fox to give it away
It isn't even just a rumor. They own it

Constantin is the studio behind the resident evil movies as well
I'm not sure why, if they have no money why don't they make a better deal with Disney than the one they have with fox

Regardless of who actually owns the license it's clearly Fox's decision to make. Constantin, if they own it, probably has an iron clad contract with FOX that completely preclude them from producing FF with any other studio, not unlike the way recording companies tie up artists. If it were simply a matter of Marvel waving more money in front of Constantin or turning it into a bidding war this would have been over years ago.

yeah thats true.
the point is that everyone is telling Fox to give FF back to marvel but they do not even own it at all.

In the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, there's an article saying that Trank didn't like the casting and that it was Fox the screwed up the last part of the film.

Meh seriously trank just need grow a balls and accept its his mistake movie was bomb. Casting change is so common in movie industry, some casting change actually works better than its intended. Say Michael J Fox on BTTF or Arnie on Terminator. Trank actually want Teller as human torch but Telles looks better as Reed.

Wow, Green Lantern was a financial disaster and FF is making less than HALF of what GL did:

Green Lantern 8-Day Total: $76,955,507
Fantastic Four 8-Day Total: $36,361,000

:google

From everything I've read and seen on the extremely reliable internet, seems like you can split the difference on the blame. Trank bit off more than he could chew, he was not getting the job done on-set, the producers stepped in and took creative control while he remained as a figurehead "director." I can't really sympathize with the guy. Every movie is a compromise. When you get a shot at something like this you have to play ball. And be sober on set. Granted I don't have any more facts than anyone else but when Trank publicly displays a crap attitude with the fans and sabotages the movie's opening to try to save face it's not hard to believe he was a d-bag during production. I would say I hope he learned a lesson but clearly he didn't.
