There's some mentions that this new shield is a convention exclusive only? Meaning you either order it there or nothing.

Anyone else heard this?

They did something similar last year with another Captain shield. Super limited. Tried to get one, but they wouldn't sell outside of Hong Kong. Eventually it sold out.

Ah, you maybe right. That's very possible... If that's true, I just get extra "Classic Shield" and applying BD Effect by myself. Not a big deal. Still waiting for my first "Classic" off of eBay though:pray:

Bro, your wish has been granted. Go back 2-3 pages. I linked BBTS's ebay listing of King Arts wall mounted shields(classic and battle damaged). There's like 10 of each. I emailed BBTS and they did confirm they no longer will be selling KA props on their site anymore(that inlcudes future releases).:slap

Whoa, if that's the case, I have to act quickly... Thx for the info.

forgive me if this has been addressed, but did BBTS say why they weren't carrying the shields anymore?

They didn't go in to specifics but it could be licensing issues and KA's(Hong Kong) props clash with efx(U.S.). Both sell shields and will sell Ant Man helmets, etc

That's what makes the internet so awesome, you can whatever the hell you want anywhere. Just have to pay a premium sometimes.

How do you like it compared to the eFX, BDogg?

Interestingly enough, most who I have shown pictures to are at a 50/50 split on which they like. In-house visitors lean towards the King Arts. Both shields are fine additions to a collection, but I aim to have one shield to maintain a museum-type look instead of Captain America-centric. With that said, King Arts fits my preference more and will have permanent residence in my home. I am not certain of the future of my eFX shield.

I've been re-watching video that showcases King Arts' Ant-Man helmet and eFx's version - thoughts, guys?

Curious to hear what you all think before I chime in.

OK, I just got my Wall Mount Classic Shield today.
Suddenly, I'm very afraid to applying BD Effect by myself:lol
It's just GORGEOUS!

Yeah, I wouldn't have the ***** to do that.

I wouldn't recommend it, but to each his own!!!

Congrats on the new addition.

You got the stealth too???

Thx Chapter, yeah I got the Stealth(pedestal ver.) as well.
That one is completely "Matte Finish", but it's very unique though...
But I would say, "Gloss Finish" Classic Shield wins!

I actually did the same today. I think I like the eFx better than the King Arts one but chances are the eFx one will never see the light of day. One thing I have been considering is getting a custom one that is currently for sale at the RPF. Check it out:

OMG, that is nice.

Price?

And yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Didn't want to believe it at first, but subtle paint app differences. I still may change my tune, but right now giving the slight edge to eFx. Curious if that will be the final base look or if that's still a work in progress.

It looks like the silver ring and star is painted on the Classic but left as raw brushed aluminum on the Stealth. Is that correct?

How's the paint job on those? Any splashes?

Do you mean my Classic Shield?
If so, there's no splashes at all. A little glossier than I thought, but overall paint job is superb.

Also, I'm surprised that the "Blue" is way more lighter than I expected.
It's not that "Dark" Blue-ish.

Of course it depends on the lighting condition, but actual color is more vibrant.

Unfortunately it's nearly impossible to capture that with my iPhone 6 Plus camera:slap

I think, both left as raw brushed aluminum, but classic has gloss coat on top.
Then, Stealth has some kinda "weathered effect", which makes silver looks "darker grey/gun-metallic".

These are taken under the same lighting condition:

Congrats on both shields. :rock

Yeah, I agree. I have the battle damaged one and it's really hard to capture the look appropriately. The battle damaged lines are very subtle black accents. In person, it's perfect. In the photos with light, they don't look subtle at all - which isn't the case when you look at it on display.
