The FF 445 and ED 445 codes are tail codes or designations that usually represent the location and squadron for fighter planes. That is why Rhodey has them on his armor. The FF/ED stands for the base he has been assigned to or is located at. FF being Langley Air Force Base or Patrick Air Force Base and ED being Edwards Air Force Base. The 445 stands for the 445th flight test squadron.

So to me it does not really matter what the code says to be honest just that the armor looks cool!

Thanks :duff

I was ready to dump this figure for the new AoU version because I wanted a screen accurate version, until I saw the price and exclusive status. Well now it seems that I can have the best of both worlds, even if it's just for one scene, well, except for the red around the chest RT and the eyes. I did a quick and dirty photoshop just to see what it would look like if I removed the red, and I think it makes a pretty good stand-in for the AoU figure. Only problem is, how do I cover up the red parts without permanently modifying this figure? Any suggestions?

I have a couple of suggestions on how to do it.

pound the ground baby!!

Modified the neck to get the head to be able to look up... SOOOO much better and the way this should have come from the factory!

Wonderful pics as always, it would be interesting to see the process, all your photos are excellent :duff

thanks!

its pretty easy actually... short and sweet is remove the head, take off the neck post, popping the neck post apart in 2, there's a piece of plastic tab inside that you simply cut it off and it allows the ball joint part to rotate all the way back. close it up and you're done. just don't do it when you are drinking as i got heavy handed and cracked a little bit of the bottom of the neck post! lol

but i'll take some pics and take it apart tonite in case anyone wants a better view and feel more comfortable about doing it if you choose...

Decided to say screw it and paid off my whole flex today. I should have him within a week. Then like every figure I'm getting these days I get to open him up, look at him and pack him up for the move. :lol

Can anyone enlighten me on what the "Exclusive" is all about? Is this just another normal release, didn't hear anything about this releasing in my area? I don't wanna miss this out then the price for it inflates. :gah:

The exclusive is that it is exclusively sold by Sideshow and no other retailers. That is unless he becomes like Bank Robber Joker 2.0 and SS gets stuck with a bunch they can't sell. Then you'll see BBTS and maybe Alter Ego get him.

The exclusive for this figure was the green holographic small figure similar to what was released with the mark vii exclusive

Ah crap, didn't realise I posted in the wrong thread! Does the same apply to the AOU War Machine too

There's two kinds of exclusives. The first War Machine MK II had an SSC exclusive of a holographic WM. You could buy WM MK II from various retailers, but only SSC had the little green holographic WM as an accessory. This AOU WM MK II is exclusive in that SSC is the sole distributor, so you can't buy the figure anywhere else.
