So for all you crazy completists out there, what's gonna be your plan for Avengers infinity war part 1 and 2?? Imagine how many figures will be out in that line!! Especially if every hero from every corner of the MCU comes out to play with Thanos!!? And with the price hikes it'll be like $10k.... :horror.

:exactly:

I look forward to it :lol

It may not appear in the movie but it is an Age of Ultron Movie promo figure

Actually it doesn't say Age of Ultron so it's from Avengers 1 by the logo in the bottom left :lol

I thought the 43 was overpriced with three heads and the cool mark 1 stand but this is just :cuckoo:
This will be the 1st IM that have passed on in a very long time. Congrats to the people who really want this.

Yikes--$340? Cheadle HS isn't worth the price hike to me. I'll keep the IM3 version I already have and use my imagination.

Iron Patriot is definitely more than enough for me for a WM figure.....an it looks better.

Totally undecided on which I like better - Iron Patriot or this new War Machine. I think I am going to get both and make up my mind later. I'll keep one and sell the other.

Isn't Stealth an AoU release? How about the Chocoolate (I still can't get over that spelling)? The mystery continues....

Technically, No... It's branded under the first avengers movie. It IS a movie promo figure, but that would make it a promo for the first movie. But being released at this time might make it a movie promo for AoU, but it won't be in the movie so it's debatable I suppose. I choose not to think of it as an AoU figure.

:hi5:
You might find it easier to choose once they are both in hand. I have the patriot and it is pretty awesome.
Thanks; I'm sure I will. Patriot is on its way and it looks great in pictures. This new one has a very cool paint color, too. Also, AoU might influence my decision. It will be a long time before I have to worry about it!

I am betting you keep both. That's what I am doing.

If I had to choose it would be IP. Colors just pop on the shelf. Plus it's got that patriotic thing going.

I'm now limited to just Mark Suits. It's a pick your own poison thing to me. Continue the undefeated completist streak with the Mark Suit armors while Hot Toys continues to have me by the balls and keep spending thousands each year, or quit now but feel this unexplainable feeling that I am missing out on something I have pride in collecting?

I'm at the point where I'm hoping I "miss" one so I have an excuse to quit altogether so I can be free. It sounds crazy but I know there are several others of you who feel this way too. One of the main reasons I liked collecting these was because I enjoy producing photography with the armors.

Someone posted above about spending $7k on getting 2 of each exclusive AOU figures and I'm thinking wow, $7000 for 28 dolls? I know I've probably spent more or less that much just on Mark Suits. At what point does everyone act like that one popular meme with the dude in the e-card throwing up his hands with the papers in the air and its captioned with "F this ****"? What's everyone's collecting limit? When these dolls hit $500 a pop? $1000 a pop? Anyone else feel like they may be experiencing the twilight of their collecting time now? Soon? Never? I've known several of you on these forums for several years now and I'm interested/curious in what many of your collecting thresholds are.

Cap $225
Widow $220
43 $345
Hulk $375
Vision
Hulkbuster $825
Prime $380
MK1
Iron Legion drone
Ultron drone
Thor
Hawkeye $220
VII Stealth $340
War Machine $340

If you're going with the Hulk Deluxe set, we're up to $3270.

I agree, this is another head scratcher. This is the 3rd repaint of this mold and the 2nd time the Rhodey sculpt is used. Calling this limited is a joke. They're milking every drop out of the reuse here.

When I look at Yankee's list, I think that most of those offering's prices make sense, and even the new versions of old characters have a rational rate of inflation (if there is such a thing :monkey1).

Just when they restore your faith by a launching a 2nd version of the Hulk for less than the first version, which gives you the impression that the reuse of parts may positively affect pricing... they do this. And the Hulk even has a newly developed head and different shorts. This is reused to the bone AND includes a lesser stand than WM 2.0 & I.P. At least $30 more (+ shipping) than I.P.? How & why???

The trend of the increases is baffling. While most are understandable, some are outright insulting.

That is a distinct possibility! :gah: We will see whether it can distinguish itself, once in-hand. Maybe I will make a War Machine display area!
