This is one of those figures you really are going to have to wait and see what it looks like in hand. No way they are going to get decent shots of this at a convention with all the different lighting, cameras, glass ect..

I agree with a few on here. Some parts of the figure look like enamel. Certainly not looking like it's worth the cash. Glad I missed the PO and my cash is going on better figures.

Besides, if this is supposed to be a stealth suit, it really shouldn't be all shiney. Defeats the purpose.

shiney or not, the lighted eyes and the arc reactor already defeats the purpose any way!
there should not be any stealth suit for a iron man in the first place.

What's bugging me are not unflattering pics that marginalize the impressiveness of this figure. It's that I can't even see the figure in the promo shots, when I look at these recent photos and videos. As someone said earlier, it looks like they took the promo figure and microwaved it!

Its going to be a figure that will never have a great photo taken of it because of the diffrent shades of black. Out of the 13 HT Iron men I have so far I have always been impressed when I pulled each one out of the box. Midas is one of my top 5 and gold is my least favorite color. HT does IM better than anyone and the paint on these exclusives has always been second to none so I doubt they would screw this one up (at least I hope they don't )
I'm not defending them just saying don't panic, i would bet a hulkbuster that this will be much better than expected.

It won't look as good as the promo shots and it won't look as bad as these terrible phone shots...just like everything that gets released.

This figure is exactly what I expected it to be like. I am not disappointed in anyway. It could be that I expected it to be black, as in all the colour descriptions of this figure it says Matt black, metallic black and translucent armour.

I don't understand why collectors think there should be hints of blue. The description is pretty clear and the prototype on display is exactly that. The paint app is excellent.

If collectors are moaning about the colour not being what they expect, they should read the product description as it clearly states it is black, nothing about blue. If a decision to purchase was made on the picture alone without reading the product description, then maybe in future additional research should be done before clicking the pre-order button.
