I have to say this figure is a beast. It comes with a crap ton of accessories. I plan on getting a second .View attachment 160930View attachment 160929View attachment 160928

I have seen Sleepy Hollow many many times (including in theatres), but I cannot see Depp in that sculpt. I could see it in Sparrow, Todd and Tonto but not here.

It actually looks better in hand I must say, with a little side light it's Depp, but you are right, it's not as close likeness wise as some of the others.
It's a beautiful figure though.

Honestly it's a great figure - but it dose not look like depp! Yes you can show a pic or two here or there with some lighting angles to make it match but over the years we have come so far long on these figures that "likeness issues" are just not an acceptable aspect anymore!

Saw some reviews on YouTube. Wow horrible looking likeness. "I bit off"'should not be a comment when your paying over $200. That is not a excuse

To be honest likeliness already not 100% on prototype. If you keep ordering and expect something will become better, IMO you are wrong.

HT delivered, mass production 99% close to prototype with every proto flaws ( gigantic hands and off likeliness ). The accessories is ridiculous good though

Yes, but where else are you going to get a 1/6 Sleepy Hollow figure at this stage. It's not like holding back from buying this is going to make the next Sleepy Hollow figure better. There won't be anymore. Buy it, appreciate what's good about it. Don't buy it if you don't want it, don't expect HT to give a damn either way.

Im not a Marvel guy but I did see Dark World Thor on display at a local store. First impression...WOW!! Sculpting and likeness magic!! How the **** did HT make it so real. Thats Hot Toys caliber. Thats why we pay over $200 per figure. For that magic!!

I am a huge fan of the movie but since day one I knew this would not be in my collection (another save that $200 for another release). Having said that, this Crane figure bothers me for the collectors who are buying it. The likeness is well below HT realism standards. You know it and I know it. All previous Depp figures were able to capture his likeness. I see zero likeness with Crane. And that’s not fair for those collectors who waited three years for this figure. Basically HT’s rushed and made **** (from their original proto pics) and we are eating ****. Our comments the **** taste a bit weird but we will eat it anyways.

I don’t care if this is the only Crane we will get. Should have been done much better that this. This likeness is so off it should not hold a stamp that is called Hot Toys.

Yeah its a shame about the sculpt, as everything else, the tailoring & especially the accessories are all so well done.

I showed the figure to my sister and asked her who she thought it was, she had no idea, so when I told her its Johnny Depp, she said it looks nothing like him.

Ht gave up on perfecting the sculpt because they know it won't sell a boatload. They rushed it out to get it out of the way so production can focus on SW and Marvel. Simple as that. Why it came out so early.
A huge smudge on HT quality-the sculpt looks like it wasn't tweaked with extremely poor paint aps-or lack of them. I like the figure but HT really screwed this up. The hair is really bad- soft details and very very fake toyish looking. The accessories are spectacular, though.

It's a great figure worth it for the accessories alone. The likeness is a little off but it's still a great figure!

The ONLY con (for me) is the hair.

I think this is the thing with HT. The likeness can be off, but the production quality is just top notch. The tailoring of the clothes, the paint work on the sculpt and the detail of the accessories.
In contrast, Sideshow might be closer with the likeness, but the paint is unrealistic, their eye system is poor and their tailoring is not as detailed. If Sideshow just improved those things, they would be right up there as HT do sometimes fail with the sculpt.

I do see Depp in this figure, but it's not like seeing Henry Cavill in the MoS figure, Chris Hemsworth in the DW Thor, or Hugh Jackman in the DOFP Wolverine.

I do think the likeness is off (it's the cheek bone areas on the face, IMO), but this is how I see it too. Doubt there will ever be another one unless someone makes a custom.

The paint on the best buttons is all scraped off. Should I call SS and ask for a replacement vest?

I contacted sideshow. Hopefully someone will get back to me. Their customer service is top notch.

I think a couple of my buttons are the same, I thought they were supposed to be like that.

I was looking at as many production pieces as I could to determine if that was the case and every time it was not supposed to be like this.

Especially since some are black and some are smeared. The bottom button looks horrendous. It's like the paint smeared into the vest.
