The ones who are going to take the Batman muscular body and replace are going to get a nice figure. For me the only thing wrong is the body, stock is too thin. I actually don't mind it past that.

The heads and paint are not nearly up to par for a $200 figure. And those shorts & belt... wow.

And I also refuse to spend this much money on a figure only to turn around and invest MORE just to get it to look the way it should have in the first place.

This figure is a swing and a miss, sadly. Batman was so good.

Sideshow replaced their Superman pictures on the website with the actual figure we are getting. I hate the belt part.

Looks like Superman joined Patrick Swayze's gang of bank robbers in Point Break.

About the only problem I see, is the big noggin and the red diapers. If the head was smaller and the shorts tighter with the belt placement fix. It would look pretty cool actually. Yeah he might be have a smaller chest but it looks proportional to the stomach and legs. Imo, Batman has this problem and has a big head as well.

Eeeh I'm gonna pass, I hate too many things about it...

-The cape not staying tucked.
-The big head and weird face proportions.
-The fact that boots are 2 pieces, c'mon, 2 pieces? Leave that to smaller scales, for a $200 1/6 "high end" figure it's embarrassing.
-The poorly tailored briefs.
-Skinny body.

And those pics don't look good enough to be honest, it's just that we've seen this figure in it's absolute worst, so anything above that will look "good", like these pics.

I actually love the 2 piece boots idea. It's barely noticeable and gives range for dip poses without a stand. Being able to fully plant the feet on the ground makes it look more natural.

Again, I'm one of the minority, but I've liked this figure from the beginning. Although I do agree the body could be bigger (based on how big Batman is), on it's own, the Superman body actually doesn't look too skinny. In fact, even in the previous Sideshow pics on the website, the body didn't look too skinny. It was only when people got test shots in hand and took horrible pictures and videos, did it start to look too skinny. I still think the belt/trunks can be futzed.
To each their own, but I'm still (cautiously) excited for this figure. I need a floating Superman on the shelves!!!

I like everything in the figure, being that is comic based. Some are too notch, others are acceptable. Even the diapers and belt are tolerable.

Its is all ruined by the body. And Sideshow knows this know. That is why they updated the pictures with no full frontal poses, only those on the side making the neck look thicker.

If Sideshow themseleves are unable to make it look better as is, I doubt "futzing" will help.
And everyone keeps bringing up the Hot Toys CR, but let's be real here, the Hot Toys CR is much less muscular than this one...
It's because it looks proportioned. If the head on this figure was smaller, I wouldn't be complaining.

That's because the Hot Toys figure is meant to represent Christopher Reeve as Supes, not the idealized comic Supes.

HT > SSC.

I disagree. With almost every figure, people on this forum have made the figures look better than the promo pics with a little futzing. Even the figures that already look good in the promo shots.

Obviously it's meant to represent Chris Reeves. The comment was more directed to past comments that the Chris Reeves Superman is a better "classic" look Superman. For most on this thread, the biggest problem with the SSC Superman is that the folks think the body is too skinny for Superman. Sure the trunk/belt is an issue, and from some angles the head looks too big, but this Superman is far from skinny.

But it is too small when you consider that it's not meant to be a one-off figure, but part of a full line (DC). That he's smaller than Batman is BAD.

Yup, I agree with that. I guess it's not bothering me as much as some, because I never had any intention of posing them side by side anyway. Supes is getting his own shelf!

Although a Justice League lineup would look great...

From what I see, the way the belt hole things are on the trunks are the reason the belt can't stay up there.

Just "futzing" with it won't do in my opinion. But it's something that really doesn't bother me. I would have still bought it if the body proportions were good and he didn't have a pencil neck when seen from the front.
