I watched AUJ last night then watched it again with the commentary till 4am while wrapping presents :lol

I've never noticed before that the carrock is shaped like a bear's head, pretty cool.

Just got home from the cinema.

Hmm.

Some of the worst Legolas moments ever.

The last thirty seconds gave me chills. The rest of the film, however, was just awful. So many cheesy, badly written moments. And I'm not sure any of the orcs or elves were played by real people. It felt like the Clone Wars in terms of CGI.

If I had to "endure" the first two parts of a trilogy, I wouldn't bother with the third part.

Exactly why I turned this down as a saturday outing. I'll see it some time I'm sure but the other ones didn't make it feel essential to me. Money saved to clear my credit card again.

:D

That's one of the best pics I've seen on here. :clap :lol

That's a shame. I have to wait until the 26th to be able to see this, it's really annoying.

Damn. That's a shame.

Well....

Spoiler Spoiler:

There are a number of people in this thread who love these films and I get that - I love The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. I've read the books too many times to count, I have figures and replica swords - it hurts me to say the Hobbit films aren't good but they really have lost their way. Alfred (Lake Town master's servant), dresses as a woman and creates boobs out of gold - his acting is cringe worthy and would only be found in a children's TV show.

And yes, Legolas is awesome, so awesome that I have his knives and bow replicas, but after this latest film, he is an embarrassment to the original three films and the books and to Tolkien.

The end of the film is fantastic...

Spoiler Spoiler:

he didn't look right either. there is no denying he looks much older in the hobbit movies. I know they tried make up and putting the costume back and the wig and everything but Legolas doesn't look right in this movie.
he might as well be his own dad in this movie

Legodad :lol

I think I'll stay out of this thread till tomorrow night or Tuesday.

I was just kidding with the picture. Also, he's an elf, he's suppose to do extraordinary things.

then how come he didn't do half the things he did in hobbit in the ring movies? i know it is obvious why but still the story makes no sense

hobbit legolas is an older looking Superman
rings legolas is a really young looking hunter type,
yeah the character does some extraordinary stunts but from what he does in the second one and what i read from the third he goes over the top
