Here we go once again!
Wait till we see more pics guys. I think its easy to jump out of our seats but again lets wait till more to arrive.
I would not ever change my 1:2 room! These 1:2 are fabulous all lined up.
Making a new background and lights for this bad boy. It will be like the hall of armor backdrop.

I have to go back a few years and I took tons of crap from people when the MK III arrived. Now many years later its still a sought after 1:2. I dont see this being any different.

One thing is for sure, this is not what I expected from the paint. I may have to do some work to make it look right but then Im too big of an IM fan to let this go.
What is unfortunate is that many were going to get this IM as their sole 1:2 scale, now those people may skip the whole 1:2 line

What I am waiting for is Doom, then Batman. After these the line is slowing down, and this is not a good sign for those of us who collect them.

Yup, Averone, you are being patient which is fine. Had I ordered, I would wait to get it and see for myself. My main issue is I don't tend to do any custom work or repaints. I pay for something I want and if it looks good, I keep it. I understand that production pieces never match prototypes perfectly but I also don't want shoddy paintjobs. I was actually thinking this might be the one 1/2 scale piece I grab but now I'm definitely out. Even if the body paint is passable the base is not and I'm not going to pay more money to get that repainted. In fact, this, the mark VII LSB, the mark VI legendary scale bust, the proto for the mark 42 PF, the proto for the mark II PF have all convinced me that SSC is no longer taking the time to do quality paintjobs on all Legacy IM pieces. I have IP PF on PO but I'm probably gonna transfer the NRD for that over to the next SSC PF I want more. It's a sad time for me because the Mark VI and WM maquettes are 2 of my favorite pieces and I had high hopes for SSC IM pieces going forward. Instead, they have basically lost me as an IM customer going forward. Certainly not trying to sway anyone who is truly satisfied with these but I, for one, am not.

I stand corrected. I went back a few pages and only found the proto ones.. It's been one of those days.

I think everyone who ordered should at least look at it before they return it, Photos don't do this thing justice. Everyone at my job who saw this took pictures and sent them to friends, husbands, wives, etc.

Well, your point and shoot was enough, Looks pretty awesome!
Congrats JRodri2540!

JRodri2540 does the statue its self have enough wow factor to over look the base?

Yes most definitely, I don't even notice the base, but each person is different. I have to admit though that hearing other people trash this on both forums made me a little worried but now that I've got this in hand I am really wowed by it. I opened it up at my office just to see the reaction from others and like I said before everyone was amazed at how beautiful it was. Its just my opinion, but I'm happy with my purchase.
