Got my leatherface set from John a few months ago.

So started on Thomas a few days ago.
I give the apron some extra weathering to make it look more realistic.

I got a hold of a ONE custom head. I painted and haired it myself.

Here's a work in progress pic.

Great job on that!! May I ask where did you get the gauntlets?

Oh man you are awesome! I wish I could do that. Your figures are so out the ball park and you have taken it to another level. I admire your work! Its such an inspiration.

Thanks, it really means a lot. I'm glad I can inspire people. That what's custom is all about.

But seriously those gauntelts are the easiest thing to do.
I just cut two squares in leather and tied them around the forearms.
The hardest isn't to make the gauntlets, it's to fit them properly so that they look natural.

Oh I see. Maybe I could do that. Any type of leather? What about the straps? I actually like yours better than SS's gauntlets. I did search on the internet to possibly replacing those and I couldn't find any...until I saw yours. :)

What body is yours on? The reason I'm asking questions is cause I'm also putting together my Leatherface 2003 figure with Jon's clothes and One's head sculpt. I have mine on a ttm20 body and the SS undershirt is too big that Jon's green shirt wont close. I wanted to replace the undershirt and gauntlets.

Well surpisingly I didn't used a muscular body at all.
It's a waste of a body for something all covered.

I used a regular narrow shoulder true type body. It was heavily padded using foam and cotton ball.

Yes about that much. Also the original actor who played Leatherface in 74 was there in the house but as a different character. It was kind of a cameo and homage to the original to see him there. If you watch the film again, he's one of the guys towards the front door holding a shot gun. To be honest I don't get why he couldn't have still played Leatherface. You can't tell the difference with age under a mask. But who knows? Maybe he would have cost more to recast.

Oh yeah, Gunner Hansen as Boss or something like that, I can't remember. I said the same thing. It would have been a treat for him to play Leatherface again but idk why he didn't.

Just finished a end scene Leatherface from the 1974 movie!

Now for paint and hair!

Thank you! :) :D

Fantastic work Joel! :) rare to see 1974 pretty woman head sculpts out there. So far I know only two sculptors who did one and now you. Keep up the great work!

Cheers mate! I am glad you like it! :) Yeah, that seems right, Leatherface does not seem to get as much custom attention as Myers, Jason or Freddy!

I am looking forward to you painting him and put him together! I picked one up from Silentkill. Its the same head sculpt that joebizz posted on here recently.

I will post some images up once I get around to it, thinking of making his Chainsaw too with a metal blade! Would be pretty cool! I have that one too, pretty cool indeed, only got it Today with a load of other sculpts! But I like doing my own sculpts so had a crack at it! Looking forward to seeing yours mate!

With a metal blade?! Whoo! I sure would want to see it when its finished! Good luck! I'll post soon with the progress of my stuff!
