Oh, so it shouldn't matter what the price is as long as I like it? Well, thanks for that. I'l have my bankruptcy attorney get in touch with you. Can't see that kind of advice ever steering me wrong.

Come on man, every purchase you make in life you have to use judgement on if the value is worth the outlay. Were not 8 years old screaming I want, I want in a toys R' us.
I think the suggestion was that the number on the bottom shouldn't be the only thing holding you back, assuming you already like/want and can actually afford to buy it.

Besides, it being un numbered is the least of my issues. Its not that damn big for $2500. The fact that it is in no way limited just makes it that much more of a rip off. But I like it so...pass, not because I don't like it, but because SS has the cajones to ask that price for it.

No that is not the end of it.

So whats the problem? If I let people rip me off the way SS is on this, I could never look at myself in the mirror. Now, that doesn't mean I dont like it/want it. But there is no reasonable way I would pay the asking price, because of restraint. Now, if someone else can justify it, more power to them. Thats not to say I wont buy it if a deal can be had down the road, but a throwing caution to the wind approach 'paying any price' is why SS thinks they can throw this up, with no ES, and demand that kind of cash.

Now, if someone else thinks that it is reasonable/justifiable then more power to them. But there are an awful lot of dissapointed collectors in this thread and others that were looking forward to having this, that are left shaking their heads, not because they can't, but because they wont support this.

You're right man. I can always justify it to myself if I wanted to, but in truth I'd be tricking myself

Yeah. Well it all comes down to individual impressions I guess. Personally I was half expecting it to be even more after seeing the price tag on Han Solo/carbonite. This I can do but will admit it is my absolute limit regardless of the subject, size, scale or number.

Out of interest stuck Yoda next to a LSF Iron Man:

That's an interesting comparison....

How much does that iron man retail for?

I feel the same way about this. I want it and can afford it, but I refuse to be raped. This thing is only 32" tall which is only 8" taller than the average PF. Why is it 6 times the price?

In a way I understand you. It happened to me when eFX released the Vader Legend helmet. I liked it and I could have afforded two of them. The difference compared to your case was regarding shipping to my location which was $700 (plus all the taxes, customs, VAT) when the helmet itself was $1000. Which is even more insane than the 1:1 Yoda price.

But for me edition size is not too important when collecting, that means in the end I wasn't that interested in getting the Vader helmet, I easily can live without it. The only thing that bothered me (and hope eFX learned from this), was the fact eFX didn't care at all about the international customers (I was not alone with this shipping issue).

Hey JKNO, several months ago on here you brought up your friend's custom Yoda lamps. I managed to pick one up before they all sold out. Thanks for bringing them to my attention. It's a fantastic quality prop and will look good with a life-size Yoda.

The Yoda lamp is a fantastic prop, didn't realize they all sold out already.

This line is so overpriced, there will obviously be collectors who still pick these up which is what SSC counts on. Low edition size and huge mark up and profit for them.
Yoda at 32" costs $78.13 per inch including base, easy paint app and mostly tones of green. Just not worth it...

Fett and Vader, literally just mannequins with suits, armor and helmets on...store displays. Granted well detailed store displays but nonetheless a person could build these on their own using resources like TDH and the Sith Lord Detachment for a 1/4 of the price including the mannequin.

I can't believe that I am so close to pulling the trigger. SS rape is going to happen 😭
