If you guys don't remember, in the dlc for city, if you talk to gordon they hint the Joker's body is missing

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Made something the other day for the Asylum/City Joker figures.

It was an old Twilight Zone TV keychain that played the theme and lit up. I bought it for a dollar at a flea market, still hated tearing it up though but it was in bad shape. Put new batteries in and the audio didn't play, gold paint was rubbed off the antennas, etc. Love the old show, but I'll probably be getting a better one later on.

Just printed off a little picture with my crappy printer for now. Have to turn the Joker's head sideways to get it to fit though.

Always thought this should be a con exclusive figure, or even an accessory to a Joker figure. Oh well.

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

I'm surprised DCC never did that themselves. Would be an easy variant for them to put out.

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

I really hope he's completely gone and dead, otherwise it retro-ruins city to me. A lot. That ending is strong. It's so ballsy to actually have Joker die. Don't want any form of retcon for that. Would sully the whole thing.

Agree.

I don't need him hijacking the story every damn game with his "I'm such an attention whore and need to do something really crazy to get Batman's attention because I'm sooo gay for him!".

Let him stay dead.

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

Nice casual homophobia there. Thanks for that.

Anyhow, Joker being alive wouldn't really be a 'retcon' - the ending has always had space for it. They wouldn't have to make up some convoluted way for him to be alive - the pieces are already set out for them.

But yeah, rumours etc of him being alive at least would be good, but no full-on return.

Nice Joker custom.

homophobia..? not even a little...

Joker does act pretty gay for batman, its kind of like stewie from Family guy dropping little hints and actions...

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

I'd almost say it's kinda homophobic to immediately read into it as homophobic...:lol

Joker's life clearly revolves around Batman's, he's super obsessed, and considering he's kinda metro, and also pays hardly any attention at all to his often porn star looking girlfriend, it's not that weird to put it like that.:lol

The Joker has stated in various occasions that he loves Batman and in a very twisted way, I think he does, hence why saying he's gay for loving another man, rather than homophobic it's just humorous.

Nah - essentially he's saying that part of the reason he's tired of Joker is because he's gay. Definite implications of homosexuality itself being a negative in his comment.

youre whats wrong with the world today... overly Politically Correct to the point of embarrassment. Maybe educate yourself on what words mean before judging others and throwing words like that around.

I suppose you're about to tell me that homophobia means 'scared of gay people', right?

Ugh.

Re: DC Collectibles - Batman: Arkham figure series (Origins,Asylum,City)

Not necessarily, though that would be an element of it... Context is key and you completely overlooked it, saw the words "sooo gay" and jumped on it...

Well, that's not an element of it.

And context IS key - and the context was 'I hate Joker because he's a) attention seeking and b ) gay'.

"phobia" is an anxiety or persistent "fear" of something... so yes it is an element of it...

and mis quoting for your own purposes is weak dude...

Except “homophobia” refers to a prejudice like sexism and racism, not merely an irrational fear like arachnophobia.

But sure - 'phobia' does literally mean fear, but in this context it really doesn't.

Okay then - the context was 'I'm tired of Joker because he's a) attention seeking and b ) gay'.

The point I'm making remains the same.
