I'm still looking at Cap, but already have the SS EX version so may wait for some side-by-side pics.

Lots of cool stuff in the pipeline from XM. Great to see some real competition in the space, albeit expensive especially for US and European collectors but hopefully there will be someone who can help alleviate some of the shipping fees. While I'm happy with most of the SS Marvel PF releases and upcoming pieces, maybe this will help get them to up its game as well because they will lose sales.

Magneto and Phoenix are definites for me--looking forward to seeing the first WIPs of Phoenix. Please say if there will be a complementary Dark version (a white might be too much to hope for). I'm on the fence with which version of Wolverine and how they match up, but may end up with both. I'm also going to be curious to see your Marvel Girl so I can decide whether or not to cancel the SS version. I may sell the SS Hawkeye EX in order to pick up your version.

Any plans for...
Daredevil (waiting to hear before I preorder SS)
X-Men/Mutants -- Jim Lee Cyclops, Emma Frost/White Queen, Angel/Archangel, Beast, Iceman, classic costume Havok, classic costume Polaris. Juggernaut
Avengers -- Giant Man/Wasp, Spiderwoman, Phasing Vision, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver
Fantastic Four -- (this is my most wanted line) Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman transitioning solid to clear, Johnny Storm and/or Human Torch, Thing. While I know Doom is the natural villain and will be too popular to pass up on, I'd personally like to see a 1:4 Super Skrull
Ghost Rider -- on hellcycle (blue flame Blaze and orange flame Ketch versions)

@tavegg

Yeah. Planet hulk and WWH are some of my favorite reads as well. But I promised myself one of each character. No more than 1 per hero. And I'm sticking to it.

That being said, I wanted all natural hulk haha. But trust me when I say I am ridiculously jealous of those getting G Hulk.

What do you think about a solo comic run for Skaar. I think he could be the coolest newest thing. Especially if they made it about him being off planet, maybe the leader on a rebuilt/rebranded Sakaar. Facing down the enemies of his empire and protecting his people.

I'd be interested in a new run of Skarr. I read the last series they did and it was decent until they tried adding the other son of Hulk(don't remember his name) and then they just stretched it a little too far IMO. Now a new series dedicated solely to Skarr in the world your depicting could be epic. The concept of your idea sounds pretty sweet. I would pick up issue 1 and give it a shot

That's an all star list right there. I've seen concept art on most of these. Anything available on Thanos yet?

Sadly I hit that realization as well. I still have a decent amount of Bowen's I'd probably never sell but I did part with most of them once I got heavy into 1/4 scale

You should totes cancel that SS Cap Ex. I'm on the wait list :( teehee:rotfl

Juggernaut. They should capitalize on SS not doing one yet.

Yeah. Juggs is a must. Another character that would attract major attention from the collectors community.

There are so many spider man villains they could do. X 23 would be a great 1/4 scale to match up with wolverine. Mr Sinister. Prof X, Nightcrawler, Beast, Havok, Banshee.... My list could go on forever. I know were a ways out on most of these but collectors have been asking for these characters for quite some time. Smart business move would be to capitalize on characters that no one else has done yet.

Awww man... I just saw the line art concept for Thanos straight up from the studios... this one might give Mags a run for the money. Sorry but I can't show until Marvel approves. Call me a tease. ;p

Why would you do this to us!!?!?? Haha. I'm guessing he is on a throne? Post a winking smiley face if yes!

Thanos and Magneto is all is needed to spark my interest.
Really interested on how some USA collectors fair out with the initial XM releases on actual total cost with shipping to see if it's something I can fit into my collection.

**** their making a Thanos as well. Man it's becoming Marvel over-load for me :panic:

I don't know what I would do if they were to get a DC or DBZ line. You could stick a fork in me cause I'd be a done collector. Id pick my family up and move them to Singapore. Would be cheaper in the long run. Hey XM, you guys hiring?

Ha great idea, I've only spent a day in Singerpore but it did seem nice there :lol

Yeah the only problem with XM is buying them

Well ShiftyS, I know the DC license they are interested in....but I hope for now...they focus all their attention on Marvel. The problem with companies that turn out great products and get popular like SS is that they start spreading themselves thin and have no focus on one or two particular things.

Another problem with us collectors, is once we see great looking statues like XM is doing, then we start asking for tons of other characters before we even get the first one. Next thing you know, every wait in between each release feels like 20 years, and that drives me crazy.

So peeps, let's all be patient. Lord knows I can identify.

Here is a list of my personal wants from XM studios that has not been shown yet:

1) Colossus
2) Beta Ray Bill
3) Moon Knight (why the hell hasn't this been done yet by SS?)
4) Juggernaut (same question applies here)
5) Loki
6) Black Bolt
7) Luke Cage (the yellow shirt Power Man version)
8) Hercules
9) Gladiator (Shi'ar Guard purple Mohawk dude)
10) Dr. Octopus

But like Tavegg I am so far buying every single XM statue (except IM Mark 42...Ill get the SS version of that to go with IP), and have plans to buy every Marvel character. SO I hope for now, they don't get the DC license.

Now if XM wants to get the G1 Transformers license at 1:21 scale (Optimus Prime would be 24" tall) then I'm all for it. Transformers SUPERCEDES ALL!!!! :)

Must admit I'm not bothered about XM getting the DC licence right now because SS is doing a great job with that line & also I can't keep up as it is :lol

But great points there Loric & I couldn't agree more with you :)

The lowest price I've seen here in US is $700 + shipping + tax?, so I don't see anyone getting it deliver for less then $750

Expensive? Yes, but I think XM is moving in the right direction to keep North American buyers interested, High Quality, Great Poses and throw in lots of extras, plus a low ES doesn't hurt... Although I'm sure if you ask them that's not there intent given they can't sell here due to license restrictions :)

I don't get these high quality assumptions. I understand that they individually check their pieces, but no one has these in hand yet correct?

From what I've understand they have sold their first batch of CA already, but yeah it's speculative until we get some in hand pictures, but based on what they're doing to insure high quality control odds are good... They've contracted one manufacture to do all their statues, they are paying this factory more to insure that the QC is high, plus they have sent their own in house painters to train the factory painters to make sure they get the details right... So defiantly reasons to be optimistic these will come out great.

That said I haven't put all my eggs in one basket, I've only ordered one statue from them to see for myself before I order anymore.

I'm sure there QC will be great. It's when they get bigger & bigger is when you need to start worrying. Right now there a whole new company out to impress trying to build a fan base.

Just like what SS were doing when they 1st started

yea, they better be doing all of that for these prices. I won't be buying a thing from this company though, I feel SS has done a great job with their own Marvel pieces at a much cheaper price.
