Yes it is. A boat load of display options with this piece too. Unfortunately, I had to sell it. I have to really be conscious of space now. Especially with SSC scoring the DC license. That really threw a monkey wrench into my display plans. I'm now getting to cuts in my collection that hurt. There are about 4 more pieces I'm going to have to sell but I'll be making space (and getting a few $$$) for my upcoming PO's.

what else are you looking to unload.

Surfer was my first ever sideshow piece. I absolutely love it. It would be one of the last of my collection that I would consider selling.

same here 1st SS statue wont going to sell it for sure.......... even I bought 2nd @ retail for chrome but didn't do it..

Coming in the next day or two guys, official pics of my custom chromed Silver Surfer...just picked him up from my local delivery depo after a two month wait :gah: so will try to get snapping this evening. For those that haven't seen my teaser pics :)

Looks sweet Roberto. Looking forward to the full pics.

Thanks filip, glad you like it so far bro...more to come soon ;)

+1.

I was hoping to get a deal on a second one to do the same, but it was not meant to be.

This chrome job was something I've always wanted to do to mine after seeing ComputerFlys amazing pics of his :love it does look great from the pics but I'll let you know if it's just as amazing inhand :hi5:

I remember seeing a few pics Steve posted somewhere of this custom job. I believe that he repainted a few bases on these custom pieces. The pics were amazing. I'm sure that yours will look every bit as good. Like I said, can't wait to see full pics of yours. I'm sure that bad boy will be jaw dropping when you get it.

:goodpost: Yea, those pics are the ones that inspired me to get mine done :love I really hope after seeing mine in the flesh that I can recommend it to others cos the chrome certainly makes the statue seriously 'pop' in the pics and should have been the way Sideshow should have made him. I think Silver Surfer looks killer when chromed :exactly:

I don't want to violate any forum rules. I'm not a premium member so I can't list things for sale.

True dat :lecture

However I just wanna say that in a product thread is not a place for anyone trying to sell, whether they be a premium member or not.
Either way, if anyone posts in the product thread the person is trying to bypass sales rules and that's a big :nono, they will get a :thwak
x :wave

Yeah, I have the Bowen chrome museum Surfer. I also went ahead and cosmic chromed the BD action Surfer. If I would have kept the COM I probably would have had it chromed out as well. Unfortunately, I needed the space so that's why I sold him. I'm with you though, I think the Surfer looks incredible as a chromed piece. No doubt your custom chrome COM will majorly POP!

Roberto, who did the custom chrome and how much did it cost you?
The bluish parts are also chromed finish?

Can't wait to see it. Love my Surfer Com. Very underrated.

Thanks so much guys...opened him up last night and what can I say :thud: simply beautiful in every way imaginable...it's certainly a piece that pics will never do justice (especially with my crappy iPhone photography) :lol the reflection of light on both the Surfer and the Cosmic Trail is just mind blowing...so many colours!! Will post some pics up later today :hi5:

Sorry for the wait guys :lol so here are a few pics of my custom chrome Silver Surfer Comiquette...loads more pics aswell as a mini review and my final thoughts of this piece in my display thread which you'll find on this link :)

Holy smokes! Very nice job. You took an already amazing piece and elevated it to the next level. I am absolutely loving the chrome with the purple cosmic trail. Congrats!!!

My only complaint is that you have made me somewhat jealous!!!

looks awesome man. How much did that cost?

Thanks so much for the kind comments guys :hi5: I've only seen a handful of pieces in my lifetime that I see as a work of art aswell as a collectible...this Silver Sufer statue and the original comic Thor PF are among those that I have the privilege of owning in my collection and which I'd consider as a work of art...couldn't be happier with the way he turned out :)

As for the price, let's just say it cost the equivalent of an arm and a leg ;) :lol
