Same here, when they were coming out I had just got into the hobby and couldn't afford them because I was buying up Batman but I'll actually pick out my favorite costumes and just get a clean avengers lineup. I might even just get certain parts like I really like the First Avenger costume and I'm not sure about this new stealth one because there's more red in it in the movie promos and this one seems like its missing some red idk. Maybe that's part of the movie. But in the end I'll be buying them at my leisure except for Hawkeye, who I will definitely buy this time around. I may end up paying a little more in the long run but oh well, at least I won't have doubles.

^^ Fantastic photos! :clap

Same here, hoping for a new Hawkeye as I missed him first time around.

Well I didn't use to care about Hawkeye at all, but its my biggest regreto to pass on that figure :slap I'll buy him this time!

:exactly:

me too, it seems a lot of us missed that guy, that won't happen this time. I'm not sure if his outfit changed at all for AoU...

@galmando

I like the new setup more. The old setup wasn't bad by any means, but unless you're planning to get the Chitauri 2-pack, I felt that there was too much empty space with Loki's shelf in comparison to the rest of the display. :)

Hulk looks amazing in the cabinet. Really shows off the sheer size of him.

Hey guys,

Really nice setups here. :)

Don't know why, since I'm on this forum and more I look some Hot Toys Iron Man, I think they look very "toys" to me. The LED on the Helmet are clearly visible, some points on the bodys looks really "toys, the proportions of the heads, ... Sorry, I miss words to explain my point of view.

Do you guys have this feeling ? Or maybe it's changing when we take them in hands ?

Anyway, I have looked some awesome pics where I don't notice this. Maybe it's a story of poses.

Still awesome to see your collections guys. :)

I think they look better in hand than in photos. It's a bit hard to photograph them without some lens distortion unless you are using a fairly good camera. How real they look also depends a lot on how you pose them.

Apart from the Mark III, I think the proportions are ok. The Iron Man armors in the movie have smaller heads than what would be possible if it were a real life armor. That's why they film practical costumes without the arms and legs. Those are added later via CGI. They do this to maintain a more "heroic" look as seen in the comics.

But in the end, they are just toys. They are physical objects that are based on CGI models on a movie. It'll be hard getting a similar level of realism while adding articulation. For the amount of articulation we get from these "toys" (I prefer to call them models), I think they are pretty darn good.
