So just got around to opening mine and I love it. The body is very solid, which makes me very happy. However... does the bow come apart? I tried to used the pointy finger hand and just clasp it around the bow handle and all I managed to do was completely mess up the paint on the hand, which cracked and flaked all over. Kind of a bumnmer... maybe HLJ will replace it.

The tunic doesn't bother me, looks natural. I love the long master sword, it's the master sword, it should be obscenely huge! The articulation is good, though I could have used some ankle tilt. I love the faces and eyes, but wish there was one more set of soft left-looking eyes like there is a soft right. His having to be right handed is a bummer, but whatever... my Figma link is a lefty. Overall this thing is just really impressive! I will never use the stupid beetle tho... wish they would've gone hookshot, or just a big bomb instead.

This figure is very impressive on the shelf! I have no proper place for it, so he is just stuck bewteen a Sephiroth square enix statue and a Bowen Thanos museum statue. I do have video game/anime only shelf, with my figmas, megaman and dbz, but all of those figures are too small to have this huge Link cramping their style.

good idea!!

Hahah me tooooo glad to know I wasn't the only one

I think we are all crazy. Had I not been at the office at the time, I would have totally over-acted the way I opened the package and hold the figure straight over my head as soon as I pull it out with a thought bubble "You've obtained a Link figure!" and people around me would go "wow such dork"

Hah, yeah we are definitely nuts. Legend of Zelda music plays on a loop in my head far too often without provocation. My fiancé loves the music but even she got sick of hearing the cd that came with skyward sword playing every time she sat in my car for months. I may be the only person alive driving this nice Infiniti g35, speeding down the highway, blasting Zelda music.

I went ahead and got the MR sword and shield off eBay for like $55.00. It may not be the right size sword but the shield looks amazing. Anything to give it that bit of realistic edge only real metal can do.

Lol nice. And the G35 is an awesome ride man. I drive a 370Z and blast Zelda tunes from time to time too hahah. Are you a fan of Zedd? He is this EDM DJ who did a Zelda remix..my kinda jam :)

Anyway @topic: the bow isn't elastic, only the string is. I almost broke mine trying to test it..hopefully HLJ will be able to arrange a replacement for you; good luck.

The MR shield is a little on the heavy side. My Link started to tilt at his waist so I had to hold onto him for the picture. The shield is also quite curved inside so it will be kinda difficult getting it to hang properly on his hand. Also the handle is hard to equip because it doesn't come apart like the Medicom one. All in all I'm sure the MR shield is a nice addition to this figure but it may require some dedication..

The ankles do have some articulation, both of mine bend inwards. They just don't bend outwards so be careful.

You don't have to have him right handed either, I have mine as left handed and it looks fine.

The only thing that did bother me with the figure was the weird ass looking belly it due to the waist chainmail, coupled with the waist of the trousers makes there be a very unsightly belly stick out.

I spent a bit trying to futz it better and in the end I had to pull the trousers as far up as they would go, while simultaneously pulling the waist chainmail down and the top of the chainmail inwards towards the belly to try and make it look flat. I also had to futz the harness so the belt sat right up against the chain mail to get rid of the belly.

It's because the body is so much smaller than the width of the trousers and waist chainmail combined

Left handed with the shield? I know you can stick the sword in the left hand, but the shield doesn't have the peg holes to make it possible for him to hold it correctly up in his right hand... unless I'm missing something. And my ankles don't really tilt inward. I guess they do a LITTLE bit, but not much. They rotate, and with the you can get them to sit flush with some wide legged stances, but they don't roll inward like real ankle tilts will give you, allowing for very wide legged stances that aren't pigeon toed.

I actually feel like I don't to futz him all that much. Looks pretty great right out of the box. I'm really happy with him. Even had a buddy who thinks my love of Link and LoZ is silly say this figure was great looking.

I just used the right bow hand with the finger pointing to hold the shield and don't use the peg thing. Looks totally fine even when viewing front on

The ankles bend dude, it even says in the instructions. They only bend inwards though

The sheath is the wrong way round as bio pointed out, but not something that bothers me. I actually didn't even understand what he meant at first until it clicked he'd have a hard time removing his sword with his left hand as it is

Sorry about the shoddy pics they were taken quickly

Got mine!!!

Very happy with this purchase, overall great quality. Only gripes I have is the Master Sword is too heavy and the hand has trouble holding poses.

Other than that, this is a perfect toy!

I have a tendency to do that when opening figures. It's almost like an involuntary reflex. :lol

I switch between the Zelda tune and the gregorian chanting from Halo :lol

Both my fiance and I did it when I took the box out of the shipping package. Sang a few more bars even... Lol what's wrong with all of us?

good idea!!

We're all loonies :rotfl :hi5:

Hi,

someone said pictures?!

here are mines, ordered through amiami, was in german Customs for 6 freaking days.

the tunic is a disapointment in my eyes, the pic arent showing the real color of it, its much brighter, would be great if it really looks like that in hand.

Great pics. Just got mine today. Haven't busted it out of its plastic prison yet but can't wait.

Looks great with the MR sword but the shield is too heavy. Plus the hands won't accommodate the left hand sword hold for the twilight princess shield. The left is too small to get the shield handle and the sword handle in it.

Did you cut the hand to get the sword in?

No. The sword and hilt are two separate pieces. The blade part has a metal post that slides into the handle just below the cross bar hand guard. Instead of the pommel on the hilt coming off like the Medicom the whole handle slides off the sword. Thanks MR.
