I know exactly how you feel buddy so I bit the bullet and got mine on eBay. And it arrived yesterday. Very good figure!

Hi guys,
Have not really been following this thread and have been meaning to catch up so I'm not sure if anyone's attempted modifying this figure yet.
Right out of the box I was severely disappointed with this figure, this is an effort way beneath Hot toys and I'd be a bit embarrassed to put out a product like this if I were them especially after releasing something as wonderful as DX13.
The most disappointing part is that the likeness and sculpt was great there was a lot to work with here. But a terrible body choice bad tailoring and glaring omissions messed up this figure.
Luckily I was able to extract the Crow I really wanted with some effort and now am very pleased.
My mods include:
-Swap to a heightened Bruce Lee body
- Took out the middle layer of the hair and reattached it so it hangs longer than the bottom layer lengthening his hair
- gave him the scar
-re-tailored the sleeves so they fit nice and tight and were not so baggy
-gave him a new necklace strap (the one they included was a joke)
- ripped out all of the wires out of the coat except the bottom and the collar for a more natural hang and fit
Not much can be done about the wrong guitar but other than that I'm totally satisfied with this Crow!
HUGE improvement! I will try What you did with the coat. I didn't realize taking the wire out would make it look natural and not like crumbled trash like it currently is! Great job on the hair. His hair is way too short. This figure as is has a ton of problems but awesome mods!!! Figure looks so cool!

I realize I never really posted my hair mod in detail, it's really a simple mod everyone could do with a knife and glue and pretty much instantly fix the hair problem for good

That mod looks so much better than the factory shipped figure it's criminal. Hot Toys must be slipping. No reason for it to not look that good right out of the package. For a company that built it's reputation on likenesses and face sculpts...how could they get the hair so wrong??

Feels good after all these years to finally get this . This film came out when I graduated high school and always has been a top 5 for me.
I know it has it's issues but I'm not modding this guy.

I picked one up at a convention over the weekend for a really good price. James O'Barr was also there so I had him sign the base
He commented he really liked how the figure turned out.

After waiting and waiting on this guy it finally arrived at my local shop today, just picked him up. I only had a second to glance it over but liked what I saw! I bought a 2nd head to get the real hair mod done and I might remove the wires from the coat and a new string for the necklace but I am very happy to finally have the Crow in my collection.

It's a modified Frankenstein HT body, the taped up forearms are sculpted on the arm too.
Agreed. Received mine yesterday. But with the coat on, it's a good looking figure! Sculpt is top notch, coat still needs a lot of futzing.
