Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Even though I have still to get him I have already decided to invest in normal stand for him and that stock stand can stay in the box.

To many 'marks on suits' stories for my likening.

Since i put on the cape, i have my MOS standing in the middle of my Superman shelf. I love flying poses, but he looks great standing there too.

Yeah the best pics I have seen of this guy so far have all had him in a standing pose.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

gimme that shirt
is it under armor?

I was going to ask the same thing :lol Under Armor is bar none my favorite training gear and I'd love a few of these.

Have seen pro athlete's wearing them on ESPN but never thought they were retail .

Yes, i have a magical machine that shrinks parts and makes others larger, lol.
It's called an iPhone Lens.
That figure has a cape mod. And a one off base.

Oh right, his arms look shorter and body a bit chubby must be the way the pic came out.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

So I was nervous as hell, but I finally decided to mod this guy. This is my first time ever modding a figure... what a figure to choose to do this on! Anyway, I removed the big, clunky inner collar as everyone else has and lowered the outer collar. I kept the original cape on for now as I have not yet gotten the Meis cape and I didn't want a capeless figure for weeks and weeks. Even without the Meis cape he looks a million times better with the more visible neckline and lack of a shoulder hump. I still can't for the life of me figure out where the decision to include that inner collar came from... it seems to serve absolutely no purpose whatsoever. Anyway... a few pics:rock.

Great pics. But it's widely understood *why* the under collar is there. The under collar is attached, the suit is glued onto it, the upper collar is then glued onto the suit, meaning they are all glued together, very securely. It means there can be no movement, and more importantly, no tearing of the upper frame from the suit.
The original proto didn't have the under frame, and see what happened after a few shows:

It's probably because it's a proto, but has the texture on that melted or something? Look at his left shoulder, there's no definition in the pattern like there used to be.

Ahh... I did not keep up enough to realize that. Thanks for the explanation. Any concerns from others who have modded to ensure this doesn't happen to our modded figures? I glued securely but I guess it's still something to be concerned about.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

I have no interest in modding mine. Like it the way it is right outta the box, but kudos to those that are doing it.

Same here, I'm one of those weird collectors that keeps everything stock. I don't know if its fear in ruining the figure or my OCD.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Just unboxed MOS and gotta tell you in hand the figure is Super! ( pun intended) if you have this figure you know what I mean!

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

It is. I mean i don't even care for the movie all that much, but god damn what a Superman figure!
