Hot Toys - MMS187 - X-Men: The Last Stand: Wolverine

Well chaps, having recently sold my Origins figure in anticipation of MMS220 (only for that to turn out not as good as I'd hoped) I'll be wanting a replacement Wolverine. Given the look of the rest of my superheroes - all wearing their superhero costumes - for consistency sake I think I need a Wolverine also in costume. Thusly I'm looking at this, despite the headsculpt looking funny with the cartoon teeth. But what is the general opinion of the DOFP costume? (not his casuals, his X-men costume)

Well having all three figures in my collection I can break it down for you like this

Origins is the coolest

Last stand is the most iconic

The Wolverine has the best accessories

After that in comes down to personal perferance I think, if you want one Wolverine to represent Wolverine in your collection amongst other superheros than Last stand is the one to have, its wolverine looking pissed off in a X-men costume. I also happen to know that your fond of guys in full leather outfits so why deny yourself

As far as DOFP outfit goes, it looks pretty cool in a tactical way and will be worn by old man Logan so very cool but not as iconic looking as the x-men outfit I believe...

I'm kinda thinking get this one and then buy a DOFP headsculpt, assuming its in any way decent.

When the time comes I may be tempted by a DOFP casuals Wolverine aswell though.

My suggestion wait for the Dofp... You may get a combination of the vest look and also The costume... I think the head sculpt will be better.

Personally i like the wolverine origins look the most but its way too steep and not worth jumping on right now. Also the head sculpt is horrible. The clothing is awesome...
Last stand one does not look that great to be honest
The wolverine one is all suited up and i dont like that look - more so i dint like that movie at all....

I am counting on DOFP as i think probably thats one movie they may do multiple licenses ... At least i hope so... And i will hopefully have a wolverine that i like...

For me it's:

Outfit - Origins
Headsculpt - The Wolverine

Last Stand is a close second on the outfit. My Wolverine is the Last Stand Wolverine with The Wolverine headsculpt. I love it.

Not a fan of the DoFP Wolverine. Don't like the grey streaks in the hair and the outfit looks too tactical. Not something that I could really picture Wolverine wearing. It looks a lot like Snake Eyes recent figure from Hot Toys, to me.

Well, its a technically very good sculpt but once again I see no real likeness to Jackman. This is one instance where I am totally content with my older figure.

HT hasn't nailed any Jackman likeness but they are all solid representations of the Wolverine character. I hope DoFP version is a knock out, we are long overdue

Exactly! I don't care so much that it looks like Jackman as long as it looks like Wolverine.

I think it might be hard because he has such an animated face and makes such strong expressions.

In the DOFP comics, Wolverine was wearing Tactical pants and boots, as they appear to be more like militant soldiers in that era.

As for the DOFP movie, my theory is that he's wearing the armor as Logan's healing factor in the distant future won't be as reliable as it was in our present.

I've had mine since release and used a bent arm pose. Only recently switched it up and didn't notice any horrible creases or wrinkles.

I've had mine since release and used a bent arm pose. Only recently switched it up and didn't notice any horrible creases or wrinkles.

Makes me reconsider keeping him in my current pose. The double jointed elbows do allow for some Wolvie like poses with his claws.
