oh **** yes! this looks awesome. I love the original and this looks pretty good.

looks great. I think the overall cast is even better than the first for Miller's style.

Oh man, just remembered that Michael Clarke Duncan passed so they had to recast Manute.

RIP Big Guy. :(

Haysbert (The All-State guy/'24' President) is an excellent replacement though.

They shouldn't have recast Manute, you can easily write around him. As far as comic villains go on screen, he's also one of the least memorable ever. The rest looks good. Brolin is awesome so the more roles he gets the better. I like him quite a bit more than Clive Owen but I hope the explanation of his look being differant is believable at least somewhat.

The Clive Owen look was Dwight's new face. This is a prequel to that story. I think Brittney Murphy's character even makes a comment that she didn't recognize him with his new face.

I skimmed through "A Dame to Kill For" at a bookstore and I can tell you that he's in it quite a bit and since this is a prequel it also explains his relationships with some of the characters that he encounters in later stories (as seen in the original "Sin City").

I just watched Sin City again last week for the first time in a few years. The movie is a piece of moving art..Incredible. I think I enjoyed it more now then when it was first released! Happy this one will be out....

Manute has a major role in A Dame To Kill For. His presence affects an awful lot of events and leads to a very satisfying confrontation towards the end. In The Big Fat Kill (segment 2 of the original film) he is featured as more of a cameo, since that story chronologically comes after this one. It's sad that Michael Clarke Duncan wasn't around to reprise the role, because I believe they cast him with this story in mind, but sadly it wasn't to be.

Brolin playing Dwight this time makes perfect sense, also. Even if you haven't read the comics, in the last film Clive Owen's Dwight refers to himself as "a murderer with a new face..."

Everything here looks spot on from Miller's comics. I can't wait.

Does anybody know if Brittany Murphys character is in this movie? And if so, who's playing her?

Or is she in the story and they cut her out since Brittany died? :(

There are some rumors that Lady Gaga is replacing her. Lady Gaga is in the movie by the way.
