Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

No he has been on earth for 33 years. It didn't take him that long. Sheesh.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Finally got a chance to take some pics of my modded MoS figure! I was not a huge fan of the film, but not for a lack of Superman looking totally badass, so I had to have this figure.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

It only took Zod and co a day or so to get to Earth.
They came right after they got the distress call.

Right, they spent years roaming the cosmos before that though...after being released from their blink-of-an-eye sentence (from their p.o.v.) in the Phantom Zone.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

I finally got this figure.
I've loved it since the first pictures came out but he's even more impressive in hand, absolutely magnificent.
I have 11 Hot Toys figures and this is the most "perfect" one in my opinion.
The cape mod is the only thing needed, I can't wait to receive Tony's cape.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

That may well be in the novelization but the NOT in the movie.
There's no ambiguity in the film, it took Kal 33 years to get to earth.

I thought that was his age? Surely he landed on Earth 33 years ago?

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

I threaded some wire through the lining of the cape. I quite like the effect.

How difficult is it to thread the wire through the cape? Where did you get the wire? How do you do it to get it to look so cool? I'm asking because I'm getting my MOS figure from Sideshow early next week. I'd like to try the wire like you did to give the cape more poseability. Let me know. Thanks!

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

I was going to have Man of Steel displayed with CR Superman, but the height difference really bothers me more than I thought it would. I think I'll leave it with DX12 instead. The DX12 stand is so high it creates the illusion that they are roughly the same height. I'm not sure how tall Bale is compared to Cavill, but this setup I can handle whereas I couldnt with CR Superman!

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

You could pose CR in a flight pose with the stand or vice versa. Would look plenty bad-***.

Yeah I did that, and it looked OK, but I didnt want to have CR up on the stand all the time. Normally I like having the figures in a museum pose in the detolfs, with more dynamic poses for the odd photo opp.
