I had a try to make a crystal yesterday at work with a piece of perspex round bar. I had to try and sand it into a hex first, then sand the top/bottom to points.
Doesn't look too bad.
I'll see if i can pick up som green bar to try that next.

I currently have this figure up on eBay. Its comes with an extra custom Tom Welling head. If youre interested, PM me for the link.

I was talking today to a contact i have in china who sometimes deals with those who are responsible for the "clones" we see these days of popular HT head sculpts.
While we were talking, I raised the subject of the possibility of a "copy" of the HT 2-in-1 Routh sculpt.
I was told that to make it profitable, they usually do runs of 500. While its true that there are unlikely to be 500 people on here who want a Routh head sculpt, I know there will be a number of people, myself included, who would buy a few of them. And I am guessing that, based on the action these things generate when they come up for sale on EBay, they would sell 500 easily. And for every person on here who wants one, I bet there are five people on eBay who has no idea about this forum, and would want one too. I thought I would raise the subject here and ask if anyone would be interested in the 2-in-1 sculpt with a more modern paint job, like we see on the other copies doing the rounds these days?
its not me doing it, like I say. I just thought I would ask it out loud and see if I can get a show of hands.
Obviously, it would be this one, but with a more complicated paint job:

I'd probably buy one...however, I'd prefer either the first release sculpt or the superman sculpt that came with the Clark Kent single release. I think those have a bit more Routh to them than the 2-in-1 sculpt

That's fair comment.
My contact also said that an all new sculpt might be better.
But i told her it would have to be GOOD.

Agree. I really hope to have a modern paint apps or a new HS to replace mine. :clap:rotfl:pray:

I was just talking to her. She has a sculptor on hand and would prefer to make a brand new head that is not a copy, but a dead on likeness.
I suggested a facial sculpt with two separate hair pieces, so you could do Clark OR Superman. Like the Cian Lee Byung Hun.
What is the thinking on that?

If the likeness was much improved and they did as suggested (one head with two different hair pieces), I'd buy a couple. Never cared for the 2-in-1 and always thought the first two single release sculpts had more "Routhiness" though not perfect. Would love an all-new, spot-on likeness.

I'd buy a couple of those if I dig the likeness. at least 3 probably...guessing asking for some glasses is too much? :lol
