I got the sarcasm. How many people pose them in flying poses anyway? I'd prefer a better quality item over a toy at these current prices.

For the nth time, what makes it better quality? Just because it's made of ultra cheap pot metal? Because weight has somehow been conflated as synonymous with quality?

As for your question about how many people put them in flying poses - reread some of the other IM threads. It's a very popular idea/theme. And HT recently introduced a flexible stand, which was perfect for displaying IM figures in other than a standing pose (but now apparently useless for it). So this bizarre fiction that weight=quality and that diecast is for some reason better than plastic has cost all those folks who would like it to be doing something other than a boring museum pose, sadly.

Now bear this in mind - even if you accept the premise that diecast will take paint as well as plastic, and will hold the same fine level of detail as plastic, and you as a consequence end up with a visually identical product, you have still limited posing options. To applaud that is irrational, and I think removing options for no good reason is valid cause for complaint.

In and of itself, not true at all. You need to explain why? Perhaps if it's used on the feet, to increase stability and lower CoG, it's an enhancement, but overall, there's no correlation. Let me put it another way... if this thing starts shedding it's paint on the diecast parts after 6 months, will people still be impressed? Of course not.

Anyway, it's the internet. No ones minds will be changed, hell, this thing could denude itself of paint on the dc parts in a week and some people still wouldn't be convinced diecast isn't a great idea.

Are you going to purchase this? If not why post? I have no interest in the Starboost figure so I don't even view the thread much LESS TROLL on said thread and the members who enjoy the figure and plan to purchase it.

I'm not bothered by your feelings toward diecast, and who knows, maybe in six months or so you'll be saying I told you so.
For me, the added weight gives me the perception of quality. I remember when I got my first hot toys iron man, mk iv, and while
Impressive looking, I was amazed at how light and fragile it felt. In my mind that made it feel cheap.
It's always turned me off. So I understand how it can feel like a better quality product, even it's not necessarily.

No one will get it man, everyone just eats up something thats "new", same as new Iphones every year... (Now 10 people explain to me how HT is different then apple blah blah blah... dont waste your time)

Gakken man, I like you but he's right, just cause he expresses an opinion does not make him a troll, Darkmatter, Malgus, ThatIsTooReal were trolls

and the neck articulation is definitelly a step back, especially when the lighting is in the head anyways.. just like th mk 7

I'm still not sold on diecast either. This figure looks great and since I have no interest in owning it I'm happy it's the first diecast release Honestly, I hope it works out but I've read too many diecast horror stories they have me worried. I'm sure I'll feel better about it after more people start getting these in-hand and providing their opinions.

I said it earlier but it will take 6 at least 6 months for me to even begin to think about accepting it as a success but likely 18-24 months before it is truly proven. of course everyone is going to praise it the moment its pulled from the box but wear and tear will need to be tested. and this being matt black and silver does not even interest me in hearing the "its a success just accept it" argument, when the IP/mk42 red/white/blue/ and gold turn up then the test will start

I cant wait for this figure to arrive on monday, I am happy I pre ordered it along with the other 2 die cast figures. I dont think this is a toy in any way. For me its a collectible, few toys cost as much as this type of figures. I guess if you handle it exesively at some point it will start to show signs of wear in the paint but thats no issue for me since it will be posed and put on display in a air condition room with no direct sunlight. Nice choice for those who ordered it and even more so since it apears to be a limited run of this figure since it was not in the movies.

Every review calls this release a home run yet people are still hung up on it being Diecast

The only thing that can ruin this release would be if they started flaking like Cap shields.

Every figure I ordered from SS without a packout has come damaged, dented and broken.......just kidding Every figure I have ordered from them has come without any issues at all to the shipper, and I have never done a packout. Hope that helps!

I used to think it collectibles too but it hard when it in the company's name..
