Got mine today. No issues, perfect condition box, No cape fraying, no scratches. p.s. I finally opened my Palps today after months of owning him.

Both great figures! Good luck to everyone else!

Got the email from Sideshow earlier this morning about then sending out my replacement head since mine had the scratches on the dome. Hopefully it comes in perfect condition! Destroying the original part will be strange though......

Does anyones Vaders tusks point upward ever so slightly?

I have been reading these threads now Im all paranoid with the quest for absolute perfection. Anyway, Im not about to try and bend it down as Im sure it was just the way it was glued in. Just wondering...

Seriously we are all OBSESSED!

I am so paranoid about this figure that I missed something...everyday I read the thread and see the photos of broken tusks / cape fraying / wires popping out / damaged domes...I run and check my figure over again...just in case...I seemed to have really lucked out...none of those issues...

I recommended to a friend that he jump before SS runs out of parts. He got his today. Me, on the other hand, was holding out as I already have two Vaders and have been hesitant about getting a third. Of course now that the EX is unavailable now I want it.

Yeah, it's funny but I'm sure that pang of regret on not ordering the ex is true for almost all of us -- even if we don't want it/won't display it. That said, there is bound to be a bunch of cancellations/rejected cards on these as I'm sure tons of people flexed. So you can always jump on that waitlist, Wor-Gar!!

:devil :vader :devil

I also ported mine over to the TTM20, I drilled the TTM20 legs and arms to facilitate the SS pegs for the hands and feet. I also had to cut the rubber molding on the neck and I shortened the length of Hot Toys neck ball peg to drop the neck height. My Vader came with a broken tusk so I added 1mm eyeglass finishing screws as tusks. I think it looks okay and I like the weight the body adds to the figure, makes it feel more like a $250 figure.

I don't feel there's any need to swap the body on my Vader.

Here he is with HT Luke, both standing on the same level, and both upright:

Mark Hamill was allegedly 8 1/4 inches shorter than Dave Prowse. If you take into account the height of Vader's dome and the heels on his boots I think the SS Vader looks right.

Whatever the case, I think he looks perfectly imposing as is.

How was the swap over of the suit? Any problems with the limbs being too big for the suit?

suit fits good, no problems. The suit has plenty of room for the added bulk. The mid section is a little baggy with the ttm20, the stock body has a big gut.

How do you mean you drilled the arms and legs. How did you do that any pics

I drilled the peg holes with a drill bit to the width and depth of the sideshow pegs. The hand pegs are a smaller diameter than the feet pegs so it was two different size bits. I don't have any pics of the plastic surgery, very sorry.
