right guys, need your advice. I have a window of opportunity to cancel my EX but this is the dilemma....

I can cancel it today before it ships but I have a $75 credit applied to the order which no doubt I'd lose if cancelled. Should I just wait until I receive it and go through the aggro of selling it on or should I just cut my losses and cancel? I'm worried that due to the negative press this PF is getting, will it sell for retail price?

Statue+Shipping to UK is costing me $341/GBP213

However, there will be a tax charge of $80/GBP42 so overall the EX will come to $421/GBP255

Also,i think they can delay the reg for repainted...

The paint job on the face looks good. I do not have confidence on the photos with flash.

Definitely wait it out. If you sell you won't loose nearly as much as you would loose if you cancel. $75 in points gone is gonna be the bigger blow for sure. Even if you sell it at retail, you'd still be making money. And bad initial reaction or not, Batman is not goona go for less than retail.

Thanks Samuel...yea, maybe your right. It would be nice to actually see it hand for myself but I can already feel that 'disappointed' feeling before I've even opened the box

Definitely wait it out. If you sell you won't loose nearly as much as you would loose if you cancel. $75 in points gone is gonna be the bigger blow for sure. Even if you sell it at retail, you'd still be making money. And bad initial reaction or not, Batman is not goona go for less than retail.

Personally I have to wonder if the ridiculously large edition size has somehow lead to not only the delay but they less than stellar end product.

I'm not sure how they expect to shift thousands of these. I'm glad I waited but feel sorry for you guys who were so pumped. It does look like your're getting less bang for your buck.

My Superman EX cancellation might not be such a sore one after all.

ALSO!!!!

If you are taking photo's some basic rules -

1) NO FLASH
2) Good natural lighting - think well lit room or patio but not direct sunlight, make it a shaded area that's bright.
3) In Focus with no shadows
4) NO FLASH

Definitely wait, see what comes and how it looks in person. I'm getting one from a retailer and paying well above the RRP for an EX. I'll view it in person before I decide to buy, and if I like it I'll be happy with the higher price I have to pay.
Personally, I think the pics are hit and miss. Some look great, some look fine and some look awful.

Thanks eebow that's the thing, pics can be very misleading but the seams and armpit issues are no fault of the camera and im sure will be standard problems for all those who have him on order.

I think its a known fact that Sideshow reps regularly view these threads so I wonder what their take is on all the negative comments I wonder if their returns dept are about to experience a mad rush pretty soon

The SDCC piece could have been a production sample. What the factory gives to Sideshow to say, "Hey, look what we can do."

Then they do whats more cost effective

I see what you mean, but it may not be all of them. I guess we just need to see how others get on with theirs. Some really look nice. If you're not happy, return to Sideshow which I know will be difficult if you're based outside of the US (like I am!)

then it is false advertising since everyone is pretty sure that end product is wat we are seeing at sdcc

total lack of QC from SS part , they should at least have sent someone to the factory to review the piece coz the flaws are obvious
