My thoughts...

Spoiler Spoiler:

One thing niggling at me from this is the Thor/Jane relationship. Her waiting two years is a stretch but throuhout the movie they never really connect, it's all about getting the aether out of her and then on to the mission. They didn't have any of the spark or chemistry they had in the first movie which i find to be a big shame as of all the MCU couples i liked them in Thor the most.

Hey, thanks for the link man!

Spoiler Spoiler:

I noticed when Jane put her hand up against Thor's just how massive his hands were. I could just imagine what mine would look like up against his. Mine are so small. He has sexy hands. :)

Second favorite Superhero movie of the year behind Man of Steel. Great direction that expanded the mythos and upped the stakes. Solid performances by Hemsworth, Portman, Hopkins, Dennings and Elba, and I especially liked Rene Russo's fight scene. But Hiddleston really stole every scene he was in. He has done for Loki what RJD did for Iron Man. Would have been nice to see them use Jaimie Alexander more, but I did like how they subtly played up the possibility of Sif as a romantic interest (most of the Asgardians treat Jane Foster like an insignificant insect or a pet). Alexander is still my top choice for Wonder Woman. I'm sure the DC execs are watching the boxoffice on Thor and wondering if they should take a similar tact with WW. Malekith was a serviceable villain, but he kind of disappeared. I haven't seen much of anything written about Kurse. I thought they handled it okay, but not great. He was played up more as a bruiser as opposed to a serious threat in enchanted armor that's twice as powerful as Thor. Would have been nice to have had a semi-tragic arc for Algrim. Maybe Malekith could have betrayed and sacrificed Algrim by him in the Kurse armor, which would have filled him with rage. Would have been cool to have had a Hulk-sized CGI Kurse. During the attack on Asgard he and Thor could have gone at it, resulting in Thor being beaten nearly to death. To me that would have made Kurse more of a terrifying threat as opposed to simply being Maliketh's henchman.
But all in all a great movie. I only watched one after credit scene, didn't know there was another. I'll catch it on youtube or the bluray.

I'd buy all of this except for the Dennings and the words "solid performance"... She was horrid.

She was hilarious.

Her character worked in the first movie as she was seemingly in a smaller dose and the comedy of the first one seemed much more natural and less forced. I found her performance grating in this second one and in my opinion the movie would have benefited from her absence. Do you also enjoy her tv show on CBS? I've never been able to watch more than a few minutes of it, so maybe I'm really just not a fan.

They should have killed off Loki so that he can be resurrected as female loki. Habahab.

I do not. But I like my comic book movies with a ton of comedy.

So do I, especially the funny variety. Erik Selvig's shenanigans worked (having a god bop around in your brain'd do that) and even the new intern was OK, but I just found Dennings annoying more than funny. :dunno To each their own.

I like Kat Dennings...her voice might be a little annoying and Fran Drescher-ish but she brings two good things to the movie!

I'll let everyone guess what....

:exactly:
Agreed 100%. I didn't enjoy anything about the Earth crew this time around except Selvig, I didn't even care for Jane. I said this in the review thread, I think the great interpersonal characterization between the Asgardians just made the already weakly written Earth characters just stand out even more.
