There is always going to be another "blockbuster" movie that will warrant a HT's action figure. Pushing this announcement to the bowels of the production list. Perhaps when Beetlejuice 2 is being released BR might resurface. It is just frustrating.

Pretty much.

HT Commercial:

"Hey everyone, Hot Toys here to show off the 89 Batwing we're working on, how do you like it!"

Meanwhile, at HT headquarters!

Employee #1:

"Hey boss, did you really mean it when you said we were working on a Batwing!"

Boss:

"Batwing, what Batwing, get back to work on your IM assembly line before we report you to central government for attempted murder!"

:rotfl :rotfl :goodpost:

Agree with you 100%. Ht's told us when to expect launch "late 2012" so we had a idea and expectation in mind. Sure we would allow it to overflow into early 2013. But with no follow up since "teased" is frustrating. But I agree....what are you gonna do!!

It's the long ears.

In truth it's certainly got something to do with it. I liken it to the mechanical shark in Jaws as to why this figure...this version of the character...has such long life.

Like Bruce the shark...He works better as a character that you only see glimpses of. That opening sequence with the two muggers is possibly the best ever example of what I am saying, the only time you see him really clearly is with final close up and the throaty whisper "I'm BATMAN!"

I was one of the ones that thought that Tim Burton had gone off the really deepest of deep ends when Mr Keaton was announced as BATMAN. But when I first saw that trailer, with the shape of the cowl, the ears, the atmosphere. My BATMAN comics had just come to life.

Hook. Line. Sinker.

Well said...:exactly:

Everyone's on the 89 bandwagon now. It only took 23 years or so.

I think because we have the Dark Knight version to contrast and compare the 89 version too! The Styles are so drastically different and the comic book tone of the 89 version shines even brighter...:)

As much as I'm sick of the rehashes we do need a quality 1/6 BB suit. I mean they need to do a complete over haul. Re-do everything. The suit, boots, gauntlets and most of all the ****ing cowl. Just copy EB's.:lol

That last one was a piece of ****.
