It'd work out about the same for me. 660 euro or thereabouts which is £560 according to XE.

Never have I wrestled so much with a potential purchase, never have I changed my mind so much. I'm unsure if the fact I keep coming back here means I should just go for it or if the fact I keep thinking 'no I better not' means I really shouldn't. Its a head wrecker this one.

Oh it's a total head wrecker man! £560 is too rich for me personally. There's also the space to consider too and I have an apartment and not a house.
Do you have figures that you can sell to help fund this?

184$ for import fees!!!!!
And I thought my 94$ in Canadian taxes were hard.... At least I had free shipping from my local retailer.

Nothing that would sell either quickly or for big money. Anything that would sell quickly and/or for big money is something I wouldn't want to sell.

well still no news from anyone you would think as they all have websites and facebook pages someone would say something?

Hi! :wave

My display is still on the drawing table, but I have a plan what to do.
Using part from coffee tables, IKEA stuff and then build, not just for this one, but for all three cars: 66, 89 and 2005. :panic:

Some undboxing pictures of my mint Batmobile :yess: here ...if you like. :wink1:

:)

Holy crap dude! This is the type of setup I wish I could achieve. That vault is amazing! Did you make that yourself?

Well...wow. If I were to order this from BBTS the shipping cost would be...........$613.24! Bringing the total to $1243.23 And then I'd be hit by customs too. *closes BBTS tab*

Ha ... Suddenly my wait into the next century doesn't seem to bad as I won't have import fees...

Yeah, it's a custom I made some years ago for a 1/8 vinyl Batman kit.

I know it's a little out of scale for the 1/6 figure ...but I don't care. :D

The plan is to get the HT vault from TDK Rises to go with the Tumbler,
and then make some lab stuff behind the 66 B-mobile. :wink1:

Well the vault looks epic. If you ever did a run I'd be interested as I'm doing something similar. My Tumbler is with the cage from the bat bunker and if Hot Toys ever does the vault I'd be all over that. As soon as I get the 89 Batmobile that is. Excited to see your finished display :)

What!? noooooooooo

I'm a joke with this damn thing. I've lost count of how many times I've changed my mind. I ended up cancelling with FP.com with the fullest of certainty that, as happened once before, they wouldn't get one for me and that it was for the best. That lasted about a day, tops. Today I re-ordered with Sideshow. :slap (Yeah, Eamon I decided to go for it after all. Its expensive but its kind of a one-off)

It'll cost me a little bit more than FP.com would have but not dramatically.

Whats the status of your order now?

I was going to message you last night to say that it looks like One Sixth Bruce has them for a good price. But I see now you went for Sideshow. Shipping from UK to Ireland would probably be expensive so I don't know what you would've saved. I emailed OSB twice asking about shipping but no reply yet. Maybe if the price is right you can cancel your order with SS?

I have managed to score one privately from a fellow board member. It has a scuff but it's small and I am thinking I can repair it. I gotta get a friend to drive me to pic it up too.

Just checked their site. £455.99 which works out roughly 540euro. Adding shipping onto that I think it would work out cheaper but not massively so and if I cancel with Sideshow I'd be paying fees. And it'd be my third time cancelling this car. :slap I've slagged off other people for this kind of thing. I think I'll stick to Sideshow now.

Well at least now you will get a blemish free batmobile and you'll have it next week most likely! :)

I will be picking mine up next wednesday. I just flippen hope it will fit in the back of a Peugeot 306!

If anybody can confirm that by the way, please do! :)

I am looking to get one of the 1989 1/6 Batmobile. Just emailed one sixth bruce. Does anyone have any feedback on what the policy is for a damaged batmobile from one sixth bruce. Would prefer them to inspect it before it gets sent out, or inspect it in a shop before I purchase. hmm

Well, Godspeed Eamon!

In other news someone posted that DX13 is being launched at the end of next week. Excited but at the same time doing this :slap after my having committed* to the batmobile just yesterday.

*in the sense that if I cancel now I will pay fees unlike at FP.com

I won't cancel the batmobile now though. As Difabio reminded me yesterday the DX13 is going to be available forever at prices I would be willing to accept. The batmobile won't.

Mine arrived today. I suppose that the size issue is with the box rather than the batmobile itself. Nice detail and the led lights are impressive. Actually my wife liked it more than me. The car is scratch free with no damages but the protective shield has one bump on one wing. It looks like someone or something has pushed it from inside the shield. But I don't mind it at all since I'm going to store the shield.
