Where does Junior go from here

JDS is almost in the same position that Rich Franklin was in when he got murked twice by Silva: He's clearly the second best fighter in the division but not good enough to beat the #1 guy. So he's stuck in limbo unless someone else can beat the champ i.e. if Werdum beats Cain, THEN JDS might have another shot at winning the title again.

He's just stuck in his ways. Once a fighter, in particular a boxer, wins with his hands all they want to do is stand up. But Cain is definitely no Shane Carwin and outclasses JDS in wrestling and in BJJ. I hate to say it because I like Cigano but he is now a gatekeeper.

Cain has no JJ, just wrestling

I had Cain winning this, but I really like Junior and was just surprised to see him get kicked around again. As for Werfum vs Cain, now that will be interesting being as how his stand up is so improved and I dont doubt hes a true BJJ black belt. Im not sure if he'll want to go straight to the ground, but he wont be afraid of being taken down like Junior seemed to be and backing up to the fence.

Where does Junior go from here, Im not sure. Im sure he'll be back, but when is just a matter of time. More people are going to figure his game out.

there are plenty of Black Belts in Brazil that shouldn't be, I don't know either, and it's hard to tell cause JDS gasses so quickly, but I've never seen anything that suggests either way that he is legit or not. Belfort never really has shown too much JJ in his career and he's been a BB for a long *** time. It is pretty crazy how things change for a lot of JJ BB's once they get in the cage. I mean, nobody really pulls guard anymore, but there are a lot of guys that could be great in that position.

Cain and DC just got their black belts in BJJ

Cain being a BB is the biggest joke I've heard all week. He lacks the simplest fundamentals a blue belt knows. There is nothing from the last fight I'm talking about, but others in the past.

He already knows the biggest defense against BJJ. But just mastering it gives him the knowledge of it. It will come in handy.

He has great control like most wrestlers, but control is only a smidge in the JJ game. I don't know if Bones practiced Gi JJ, but if he does, with his experience, he would only be a Blue Belt level and he's tapping black belts in MMA. Experience makes a BB, not just skill. It takes about 10 years to become a legit BB imo.

Wrestling beats BJJ almost every time. An average wrestler beats some of the best BJJ practitioners.

I think it depends on the BJJ player. If there more of a defensive BJJer then Id agree, but if there an offensive BJJer id say the win will go to him over the wrestler.

Yeah TBH after Werdum, other than JDS there's no real clear contender for the title at HW. But the part people might miss regarding that is, ALL those guys have been fighting each other. That's why. This is the most activity the HW division has seen between top 10 guys ever, in any organization.

Is Cormier close to a title shot? And lol at JDS thinking he could beat a Klitschko after gassing under 2 minutes winging shots from a mile away.

DC and Cain will not fight each other, but yes he is. The LHW title.

That sucks, the one fighter who has the best chance of beating Cain won't fight him because they're friends. sigh. It's getting as bad as boxing with the matchmaking. I guess Overeem has a chance if he starts fighting smarter, I can't see anyone else giving Cain trouble.

He probably could KO and beat either brother. Both have glass jaws. And Boxing is 3 minute rounds with no grappling and no fence raping.. so I doubt JDS would gas i.e. he's never gassed out in a UFC fight that was primarily a stand up battle.
