I think you need to use the word America a few more times!

How dare a European above all people get two eh?!

I don't have a problem with Europeans. That isn't the point. I like Europeans.
The point is that Sideshow had a limited supply and decided to restrict sales to U.S. customers only. That should be easy to understand for everyone, even those in Europe. I can understand how Europeans would object or be upset about it, but the rules were clear and extremely easy to understand.

At least the sales were restricted to the U.S. initially.

Sideshow did make their Iron Man Comiquette holding an American Flag. That should tell you something. Is there a more logical explanation for Sideshow restricting the Iron Man figure to U.S. customers only? I can't think of one. If you can, please explain.

I can easily explain. They didn't make it just for US costumers did they? They released a set few for Europeans too. That is Sideshow saying we value our costumers from all around the world. Empahsis on the word "world' there. The world is bigger than the US you realise?

Why on earth does this upset you so much that you have to say such a rediculous and loaded statement like "this is only for americans".

That is such a stupid thing to say.

I betcha Batman and Superman be played by British actors must really sting huh?!

This WASN'T restricted to US customers only!

I seem to recall that it was initially. I'm sure we can go back earlier in this thread to read people's complaints about that fact. People from other countries complained quite passionately. You don't remember that? You don't remember the fine print on the item page when it initially went up for PO? I do.

The first batch was restricted to the US, the second batch restricted to Europe.

So your rant is still ridiculous as the figure overall was not restricted to the US because Sideshow wanted as many Americans to own it as possible, was it!

Do you remember the then decided to sell some to Europe? No? Did you not see that writing also? "Available to Europe".
Or did we all just imagine that?

You are being very very silly here man I must say!

I did not say it should only be for Americans. I said that they should have made enough for everyone in the world who wants one to have one.
I said that Sideshow initially said it was only for Americans, or U.S. customers, and I deduced that their reasoning was to make sure as many Americans got one who wanted one as possible, before anyone else in the rest of the world did.
This seems reasonable since sideshow is an American company and it is of an American character.

Again, if you can think of a more logical explanation of why Sideshow initially restricted it to the U.S., then explain it.
I would like to hear it.

it was later offered to other countries.

Europe was LATER. I saw the page went it first went up, before they added Europe. Initially, it was for the U.S. only. I remember they added Europe later. That didn't stop some people outside the U.S. from using U.S. shipping addresses to get one to circumvent the rules before SS made it available to Europe, however.

Tell me that Username didn't do precisely that.

Every Blackthorne post I read aggravates me more and more. On the ignore list he goes.

It's one thing to argue a point when your statements can be backed up by facts or data. It's another when you're just plain misinformed but refuse to acknowledge your ignorance.

<drops mic and walks off stage>

So, I'm a foreigner living in "America" (that's a continent, btw).

Should I just return my multiple BD's?

I'm aware that America is TWO continents, actually, but ask most people around the world what an American is and they will say someone from the United States.

You should return one of your BDs, because it was one per customer.

So what if they decided LATER? They decided. Ya might just want to get over that dude and quit being silly.

That was not some Machiavellian plot to get this figure.
I have ALWAYS had my friend's address on my Sideshow account.
When the BDMKVII went up for PO, i clicked buy within three minutes of the PO going live.
It went through no problem, and i went to bed for the night. It was only waking up the next day and seeing five extra pages in the thread of people "not in america" who couldn't get on the pre-order list i realised how i was able to order. It was just luck that i had always had that in place. Nothing more.
