Hmm... Any idea how much the exclusives are selling for? Trying to decide if I should get into 1/4 figures or stick with 1/6 figures and 1/4 PFs

Agreed, I just meant getting it right the first time. Holding the head in your hand, trying to get them right while using that joystick to adjust them can be a little....trying. :wink1: :lol

Just a quick and fugly pic to show you can adjust the height a bit to get it to display with the EB stuff pretty well. Pull the boots off & pop them back in about two clicks, that should do it...YMMV. The posts are pretty long so its stable standing there. Mags, I didn't even feel the need to shim...I pulled the suit up as much as I could, popped the neck post & head on, then pushed down until I got it where I wanted it. If it sags over time I might stuff some cotton in there, but it seems to hold well. Regarding the off center knees...I must have spent 30 minutes or so twisting the suit over the legs until I got it to a happy place...no more Joe Theismann pencil sharpener legs. :yess: A little blue tac under the shoulder armor is keeping it locked in place. I am going to contact SS about a replacement belt, as you can see the round insert of the buckle is skewed.

I am surprised how the image telling us there is not much height problem when they are standing together....tq for sharing! I was quite down to know so many people complaining about the scale vs EB but looking this? Man...just perfect! Yeah the EB a bit bend on the knees...

On eBay the prices of the ex are goin crazy ...

And in fact, not too many people POed at the first time and at last PO, fans are dont mind as on waiting list. This make the price sky rocketing......and hard to get too

Wow what a difference, the height issue was a major problem for me. Now I am pretty much sold on this. :yess:

Thanks for the pics Karnis!

Not even a mod per se. All the pegs are very much like the SS Joker pegs in that the part that goes into the arms and legs are long and ridged...especially the foot pegs (Maglor has pics of them in the SS Joker thread/ knee replacement mod). Just pull 'em out and pop them back in 2 or 3 clicks. For a museum type pose it's plenty stable. Haven't tried any deep knee bends though...:lol

Gotcha! :wink1:

Yeah mine seems to have a bit of a belly, it was quite annoying at first. Have been trying to play with it a bit, and have managed to get it a little more flat looking, but it seems impossible to get a concave look happening. There doesn't appear to be any articulation between the chest and stomach area like on 1/6 figures. I can only seem to bend mine at the waist? I think being able to do a bit of an ab crunch would get rid of the belly but doesn't seem to be working.

I couldn't seem to futz the chest plate either. Have a large amount of ab straps showing on mine, and tried pulling the chest piece down but it wouldn't move. Any tips guys?

Did you watch that video review I put in my post when I replied to your first post about this?

Looks ok but doesn't really drape well, guess I need to see full figure pics of it. :dunno

Nevertheless, better than Hot Toys POS. :yuck

Going for high prices or are sellers just selling them for high prices?

You do realize this the foot pegs have not been put in all the way right? If they are put in all the way he looks like a midget next to the Joker.

Well. EBay prices are still " good " but i'm sure they will be more and more expensive.

Thanks for the helpful futzing tips Karnis! Consider this page bookmarked. I wonder if it's possible to build up the traps to avoid the Phil Jackson wide shoulders without doing anything extreme like heating and shaping them? Or pulling the shoulder pads tighter to the body without hindering the articulation further?

Its a pretty solid piece of plastic and so far building it up underneath has just lifted up the whole area, But I'm sure members like Maglor are more comfortable using the hair dryer trick than I am and will get better results. My solution to the flat traps thing is to use an more action oriented pose...then it's not much of an issue.

"Phil Jackson shoulders"...LOL

I'm waiting for someone with knee pad issues to use "Joe Theismann pencil sharpener" syndrome! :lol

Good idea. :clap

My hunch is that pulling the ab shirt up under the chest armor is part of getting rid of the gut...

Another trick one can try is to use a pair of needle nosed pliers and reach down the inside of the chest armor and grab the shirt & pull it up...once you get enough you can grab it with your fingers & really pull it up.

Also, a correction...only the foot pegs are long & ridged like the SS Joker. :slap

As opposed to what else?

Just had a little time to play with this guy for a while. I love him. Absolutely adore it.

He does have some sort of beer belly that i'm hoping it is just a matter of moving stuff around to make it look right. The batman HS is freaky good, just not EB good IMHO. Lance's cape is a dream, I'm not even taking that stock pos cape out of the plastic thingy.

I love this guy so much that I NEED a second one, another exclusive. I know a lot of peeps want a Mark VII BD, and I do have three on order.

I'll be heating them and shapping them, but it might be possible to tighten the shoulder armor to pull them closer to the arms. I did that with the DX12, but it's a much more "extreme" mod than heating them. You have to remove the chest armor (which includes breaking a glue seal) and then reposition the elastic holding the shoulder plates in place. And yes, unfortunately that does hinder articulation.

Wow, you can actually fit a needle nose under the armor? :google

Ribbed for her pleasure...

Try taking the shirt and pushing it up towards the chest plate. Also, pop the head & neck post off; while holding your thumb on the neck post, push the suit up at the shoulders blades on the back. Then try pushing the chest armor down on the shirt. Work it carefully for awhile & you should be able to get those straps under control.

Thanks for the tips mate, will try futz with it tomorrow and see if I can get it looking better.

Good idea. :clap

Easier to do than describe...

:exactly: Good description. :lol

It just seems like common sense to me. You want the abs further up under the chest armor? Push it up there. :dunno

Yeah it's easier said than done though lol (on my figure anyway). In saying that, I can't remember if I tried pushing the abs up, but I definitely tried pulling the chest plate down.

Anyway, I can see that it's doable, so I will have a bit of a play tomorrow and see if I can get it to look better. Just a shame there is no ab crunch. This made it really easy for me to get the chest plate down on my DX12, and made it look better overall.

Noticed this on my figure yesterday...anyone else got the same problem? Now that I've seen it, I can't un-see it!

Yet another QC issue with HT, sorry man I know how it feels. Don't bother trying to get a replacement from SS since they told me they have none. I'm actually selling my DX12 in hopes to put towards another QS001.

Yeah it sucks bro, I had a few other smaller issues that I could live with, but this one really bothers me as it stands out like dog's b@lls on 1/4 scale. I read your post about SS not having replacements so I wasn't gonna bother, and I'm not gonna get a refund over boots. Too much of a headache. I'll just wait until these get parted out on ebay and try to score a set for a reasonable price. I'm still gonna hit up Sideshow anyway, at least for a partial refund. Better than nothing.

Here's what I did...first, pop off the boots, because you'll need to grab hold of the legs *cough*. Then push the legs together and bend the knees so you know the legs are aligned properly. Now, spread them apart and start with one leg...while holding the lower part of the legs still (just the bare leg, *cough*) start near the crotch area and begin twisting *cough* in the direction you need to go. Do this in small increments. As you are twisting *cough*, work your way down the leg towards the knee, getting things aligned as best you can. Eventually, once you get below the knee you'll have some slack that you can grab & really twist around. Keep doing this slowly and you'll make progress. Note that you may wind up with some excess around the crotch area but that's ok as that's telling you you're making head. Just keep doing it until you can get it the best you can, occasionally bending the knee to check your progress. Once you get the first leg as best you can, move to the other one. Use *cough* for reference...you'll want *cough* to match up on both legs. Take your time, be careful and eventually it will look better. Good luck!
