Batman Black and White statues 2013

Yeah, that's Gary Frank's B&W piece. I LOVE his artwork. I think he's one of the most underrated artists in the biz. That being said, I'm really not a big fan of this piece. Don't care for the pose, the way his cape looks, or the fact that his head is turned quite a bit. It's a shame, I would have loved to have had a Gary Frank B&W piece in my collection. I'm a big fan of his work.

I agree, definitely not a priority purchase for me. My Raphael Grampa Bats should be at home waiting for me today! Pics to come

Lucky for me, I live in San Diego. Everyday I kept finding out about someone else that was going to be there the next day. The most I carried was 6 on the first day.

I'm thinking about passing on the Arkham Origins Bats. Looks too similar to other statues, what do you guys think?

Already POd it. I think it looks great. He looks massive and I love that the costume is not like arkham asylum/city Batman. It looks more primitive and bulky. It has the feel of a Batman just starting out. I really dig the sculpt as well. All of those factors and a good price ($61 shipped), made the origins statue a no brainer for me.

It reminds of Bermejo's a lot. I haven't' POd it yet still on the fence, but I do like the sculpt a lot. Its looks bigger too.

I'm going to hold out cause I got the next three statues on PO
I wish I had gotten the Bermejo Bats before it shot up in price , and I hope he makes another. When I spoke to Tony Daniel at the Con, he said that he really wants to design another BB&W statue.

FINALLY !!!!!Picked up Finch, but the 2nd corner in the back of the cape got broken off during shipping. Can't complain too much, its very small and not really noticeable. Awesome statue.





I also picked up the new 52 version. Got it for Free, after I used my Amazon points, it was only $40.00 too. Great detail on this one although I haven't been following the comics recently.



Now I have to move around some of the other statues to fit these guys in. I have to find more room. Sean Murphy is coming out next month.

I always like that Finch designed costume (I think i'm right that he designed the pre New 52 Batman costume.) It was a shame it was only around for a short time.

Yeah, I feel your pain as well. Picking up the Bermejo Joker is the last difficult B&W piece that I'll have to hunt down. I also wish I didn't pass on it. Who would have thought that it would ever jump that much in the aftermarket? Oh well, it's all about the thrill of the chase now.

I know these 2 will exceed my price range anyway but both are very nice. I like the Arkham Batman B&W a lot too, (although I never actually played any of the games). Since I have the new one on PO not really sure if I want this one as well. One Arkham Batman is probably enough for the the collection. Still a very nice statue.
