Also, I think I am one of the lucky ones as well. As I stated earlier my shield is a little beat up but I didn't remove the protective sheen. It may still be fine, but it will be boxed up for a while. Car seems to be just fine... Man this thing is sexy! Hope the rest of you guys get non damaged ones.

Really interesting. I don't even have the slightest evidence of metallic sparkle on fingers after handling my Batmobile, and there's not even the tiniest visible metallic flakes on the black finish of it either, and I just checked with a magnifying glass to be sure. Anybody else other than DiFabio and Blackthorne get one of the black-metallic painted Batmobiles? It's weird that some would have it and others no sign of it. What gives HT?

Actually the metallic is a powder and not exactly a flake. I refer to all metallic in paint as flake, but I think powder would be a better word. This metallic is so fine that only looks metallic in the highlights and looks somewhat matte on the rest.

Just opened mine from Alter Ego and I am happy to say that it is damn near flawless. There is only a very light tiny scratch on the right side of the canopy that can only be seen up close from certain angles and if I am looking for it. (tried to upload a pic but I can't get it to work - sorry I'm new)

This thing is beautiful and the price was not that bad in comparison.
$622; $600 for the item and $22 for shipping. I guess Alter Ego based their shipping charges on the distance the packaged traveled (I live 40 miles from the shipping center):)

That's great news, croozer. It's promising to hear they're not all bad from here on out. In fact that poll is starting to turn around ever so slightly. Did you have a chance to vote, Croozer?

Great unboxing, great video. His has scuffs but they're very minor compared to some I've seen. I could live with those scuffs.

Man I hope HT sorts this out for future batches, I'm gonna hold off till then.
Insane that they wrap the whole armor shield in plastic but not the actual car. Classic irony.

I'am Geil ...this is too cool. :yess:

I feel very sorry for all who have received damaged ones :slap

Are you getting one Geil? :D

:hi5:

OF CAUSE!!! Just not going to get a third Granas to put it in though :p
You are too right?

Man that guy is annoying. I wish the girl had done the review.
Yeah he says some stupid ****, and he has to be the only person in the world who'd complain about there being features/accessories included, but the video work itself is the best and most thorough of any I've seen yet.

The shin breakers and round platform thingy, there is nothing wrong with them, they serve a purpose by making life easier for Batman. I also disagree with the guy's criticism about the hook, I don't think it would be the same if it didn't fold. It's more authentic like that, the damn thing didn't appear in the movie unfolded magically. I also wasn't a fan of the guy putting lame music in his video, it was distracting.

I bought two from SS, finally got the chance last night to open and inspect. No problems whatsoever.
