At the rate the other topics are blowing up with pics shown at SDCC, so far not one with returns as of yet. Why do I get the feeling we are going to be shafted...

cuz we might be for real. but i dont think we will be. i think we will hear something soon. if we havent hear peep by monday, then we might have a problem.

The amount of Iron Man stuff is almost nauseating. And that is coming from a guy who likes Iron Man! Well, except Iron Man 3...

It will be pretty disappointing if they reveal that much IM crap and don't have anything from Returns...

Sallah

This is an Iron Man movie year + Blu-ray release. There's going to be a lot of it given how well it sells and the marketing tie-in. Next year should be a different story...

^ They should've announced this and others this year or next year then

yeah but most secondary sellers are already sold out, or will be soon. BBTS sold out in hours. Though they will probably get more. but they are selling. people treat IM like crack and it annoys the hell out of me that all these IM suits are standing in the way of real figures getting made. by real i mean, good.:lol

people would buy an IM suit that Tony Stark said he dreamt about.

:exactly: :goodpost: :exactly:

Agreed 100%

BR line likely put back well into 2014..too much IM to do for HT.
Who is to argue with huge sales? Anything IM Ht does sells out......they are going for as much $$$ as fast as they can

THere is a catch though, mainstream IM figs sell, but they are dwelling into figs that only spawned minutes in the movie, such Igor, Heartbreaker, Gemini, etc. Now with Whiplash 2.0 I dunno, I can't stand waiting another two years just for the returns line at this rate, the 20 year anniversary for Batman and Robin will be up and they will probably be at the Batman Forever line still.

The Batman Returns stuff will get here when it gets here. It's not going to be shown this summer, nuff said.

Look on the bright side, it'll be one of the few relevant releases (along with Back to the Future) left after the typical licenses dry up and everyone loses interest with the "new" things that quickly become older and obsolete due to short attention spans. It goes by fast, these things will show up before everyone knows it.

Chill for a couple of months.

Agreed. They will get here when they will get here. And based on Hot Toys recent track record, they will rock.

I said it in the Arkham thread, and I'll say it here. Don't get too worked up about it, if there's no sign of Returns here. At the end of the day, HT have showed off a HELL of a lot at SDCC, and this isn't even their premier convention. There's still a good chance that we could see this line at Ani-Com next week, as I'm sure they'll have a lot more in store there.

The problem with that theory is once the typical licenses dry up there's next year blockbuster typical licenses to focus all attention on.

The Iron Man and Avengers stuff will get old after awhile, trust me. It's had pretty good staying power thus far but nothing lasts forever. These random suits that they're pumping out (which is insane and impressive) will bite them in the ***.

I think the reason Hot Toys stretches everything out is because they know this all too well. We're past the golden age of collecting. There's too much stuff coming out from everyone and it's all getting more and more expansive and expensive. The bubble will pop sooner or later.

Bet it's the same stuff that we're seeing now. This happens every year.

Not really, they had quite a bit of stuff on display at Ani-Com that wasn't at SDCC, last year.
-QS Batman
-QS Terminator
-Spider-Man
-Coulson
-Chitauri
-Hulk
-Catwoman
-The Bat
-Wolverine
-Xavier
-etc.

I'm not saying it's a certainty, or even a probability, but don't give up hope until next week has come and gone, is my view on it.:lol

My guess is we will see Justice League Movie Batman before this. I don't mind waiting for these, but the lack of news on anything, not even prototypes from earlier this year or anything shown now, just means crazy longer release date.

But SDCC didn't unveil jack **** last year in terms of Hot Toys other than the '66 Batmobile and one or two other things.

Point is, no one should get their hopes up for the Returns crap. It ain't happening this summer with all the stuff that's been on back log and with all the new stuff that keeps popping up.

I haven't seen anything yet. Thats good news for my wallet. Let the old batman have his spotlight have no interest in...The Car is cool but want my bat ,cat ,penguin...
