Here's DC's link for the Capullo Batman that shows another angle of him. I really love this one, glad I ordered it.

Thanks guys. Much easier to get idea what this looks like now. Don't have any of these but might go for this one.

Looks great, I PO'd him the other night along with Joker and the Bats v Croc diorama :yess:

I did the same thing. Bought just Bats vs Croc at first. Then I saw both the Capullo B&W statues and just couldn't pass them up. Especially at just $54 a pop shipped. Broke down and got em all. It's been a very long time since I purchased anything from DC direct. These are some really cool looking pieces.

You have to teach me how to shop:)
Mind sharing where one can find black and whites for $54? Mine are PO'd already but I'd definitely like to keep an eye out for next time

I buy all of my DC direct and Bowen merch from the same place for years. DCBS (discount comic book service) is the online retailer I use. The other great thing is that they offer a flat rate of $6.95 for shipping to anyone living in the States. The DC direct merch has always been a whopping 32% off for as long as I have been ordering from them.

For example, I purchased the Batman vs Killer Croc dio, the Capullo B&W Joker statue, and the Capullo Bats B&W statue all at the same time from them. So, the dio cost me $203.97 and both B&W statues cost me $54.37 each. All of those pieces added together came out to $312.71. Retail for all of these would have been $459.85. Buy ordering from DCBS I saved $147.14 and shipping came out to $6.95 for ALL of my statues. That means I am getting my Bats vs Croc, Capullo Joker, and Capullo Bats for a grand total of $319.66 delivered. Other retailers will PO merch quicker and keep them up longer, but no one I have seen gives a bigger discount or better shipping rates. They order everything through the Previews catalog. So they put everything up once it's in Previews and leave it up until the next catalog comes in. This gives you about a month to order the statue you want before they pull the PO off their website.

As I said before, I have been buying from them for years and the combination of great prices, great shipping rates, and great customer service have me coming back for more. Keep them in mind for any future purchases. If you would have bought both B&W statues from them it would have cost $115.69 ($54.37 + $54.37 + $6.95 shipping) delivered. I hope this info is useful to you.

Thank you so much for this information!!! Their prices are great - can't believe I've never heard of them. I'm looking forward to getting some Bowen statues from them. Thanks again! :hi5:

Very useful! Thats awesome man thanks...I remember coming across their website a while back and thinking it was one of those crooked websites with low prices out to get naive buyers, I guess the design of the website and no paypal option threw me off, but your testimony is a convincing one - I'm sold.

They should give you a bonus discount for posting here lol, I'm sure others new to them will consider buying from them after stumbling on this thread.

My pleasure. Just make sure to know when a piece you want from either Bowen or DC direct will be in the Previews catalog. That merch will only be up for that months catalog. Once the new one comes in, they will take the old PO's down and put up the new PO's. So you have about 3 to 4 weeks to put your order in. Once they take the PO's down, you are out of luck.

Glad you found the info useful. I can assure you that DCBS is a VERY legit website. I have many statues at a great price in my collection thanks to them. There are peeps here that know about them and have used them before. Tbolt and I were discussing that very topic in the Batman vs Killer Croc thread. He is also very happy with their service.

I think we all win when info is shared like this. I'm thrilled to get a great discount and am only to happy to share it with my fellow freaks here. The extra business for DCBS keeps them growing and healthy and allows for all of us to keep ordering great statues at great prices. It's WIN-WIN for everyone. That's all the bonus I need.

Ok, I gotcha. Thanks! I'll be looking for the Bowen Hobgoblin. Can't wait to order him. Thanks again...I already bought a bunch of Batman comics from them today after you told me about it :) Also saved 8% with a code so I appreciate the info.

I just preordered the Capullo statue at my LCS. Is there a way to get some of the older releases, without breaking the bank?

Unfortunately, no. Once these pieces have been released, the only way to get the older ones is in the aftermarket. However, if a piece proves popular enough, DC direct has shown no qualms about re-releasing them as a variant with small differences. The Mignola and Miller B&W Bats statues were re-released with just his chest symbol changed. Also, the original blue costume Bats vs Killer Croc dio is being re-released as a black costume variant. All of these original pieces command nice $$$ in the after market. That's why DC direct re-released them. The other pieces you want you'll just have to pony up for. There is no way around it unless they re-release them. Who knows what the next re-release will be.

Anyone in Canada that's ordered from DCBS experienced any COD/Brokerage charges of any kind?

I see they use USPS which is a plus importing to Canada, but I recall ordering from BBTS one time via USPS Airmail and there was duty charges due. I've never been charged anything extra with USPS other than that one time with BBTS (airmail), maybe I should request First Class?

If anyone can help shed some light on this matter ordering from them to Canada please let me know what method you chose and how it turned out

Ok so I picked up 3 new statues today. I was wondering what the current market value for the following

1. Ethan Van Sciver
2. Gotham Night 2
3. Jim Aparo
