It's most likely an issue with likeness rights. I wouldn't bet on getting Weller's face in any release.

Excuse mi little knowledge on the matter, but why would that be an issue? Is Weller's likeness harder to negotiate than jack Nicholson's?

Finally caught up.

All 3 are so bought. I remember a few weeks back I actually thought I might be able to pass on HT Robocop. Naive fellow. This settles my indecision on Hulk though. Gonna have to pass on that one.

Either that or a 1/6 Endo as some has predicted but that wouldn't make sense since there's also 201. Hope they reveal it soon.

Has anyone noticed this part? I'm betting someone will crack the helmet open to see the sculpt under but it's a shame they don't have the right to Peter.

What a nice surprise! I know this figure won't be out till next year, but I assumed HT had forgotten about releasing this figure with all the current ongoing projects. It's a real treat to see thier latest efforts on pics, simply amazing!

I am not really into diecast figures, but I feel this was a very appropriate choice for this figure. As shown on the pics, it will look amazing under the light with all the reflections on his body looking more like steel just like the movie did. Hopefully it won't chip easily, that's my only concern.
I'm getting this version for sure, it would be nice to have the mechanical chair, but it's not a must-have for me. I'd rather save the money towards getting Cain(I'm waiting!).

Yes..that is $100 more for the chair. Toy Hunter has confirmed that the price difference is because of the chair alone. Looks like I'll be just picking this figure up by itself along with ED-209.

Which look dead-on to Weller IMO. Really I wasn't expecting to see a full Weller head so I'm not too let-down there. Everything else just looks staggeringly good. The real metallic look, the posing, the proportions. The pics I think are some of Hot Toys best, they really nailed actual movie poses here.

Amazing how they regenerated all the movie accurate damages, even his shattered visor with his left eye showing.
I'd think it's only partially sculpted around the eye area, yeah this figure would have been a perfection with a Weller sculpt, but I am still sold on this figure overall.

I am pretty sure HT's could not Peter Weller's likeness because we would have seen it on NECA products years ago. This is a hard one…the figure looks great but unfortunately not complete. This is kind of like if we were getting the P1 or P2 Predator and their mask did not come off.
I would have been more inclined to make this purchase if Murphy's head was included regardless of the price. Right now I am looking at the cost and seeing what is not there. Overall great looking figure…..

wow. i was expecting the $300 for figure only like the iron man since it's die cast.

Everyone complaining about the sound effects. I don't get it. I say bring on more features. You guys are all expecting it to sound like crap... maybe it will, but eventually it won't. As the technology gets better Im sure the value of such a feature will rise. I for one say bring it on! It doesnt seem to have affected the price as the figure costs ($230) more or less what I expected this to cost. Plue its remote controlled! That means that you can activate the feature without messing with the figure. That's pretty cool imo.
