re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

That seems like a lot Ben, but it is last 17. I'm very Artoo-centric right now, but maybe Waller can chime in on this. I just do my research (try not to jump to quickly), but whatever the market will bear is what the market will bear...

That's one of the cheapest one I've seen, so I wasn't sure if I should wait it out.

Awesome! Sold another text book. That's four down, and five to go. I like that I have no access to these funds for a month, because I can't go squandering them...

Also, got my Gentle Giant, huge monster gigantic enormous Vintage R2-D2 today...

Great day! :D

Congrats! I'm sooooo tempted to order the GG Rocket Firing Fett. I saw one in person and it's friggin' HUGE! Maybe once my vintage 12" Fett gets here I'll be more tempted. :D

20 backs are calling my name since they're cheaper than 12 backs. :panic:

DO IT! Buy one and see how you feel...

That's a nice figure but I've seen them cheaper. $60-70 seems about right.

I can't remember what I paid for mine (my spreadsheet is at work), but these figures seem to go up and down in price all the time. It is a very nice specimen.

I've been going after loose droids, obviously, but AFA graded. Maybe the droids are more affordable. I know the final 17 are harder to come by because they were not re-packaged over and over like so many other figures. And, around here at least, Amanaman seems to be a popular character. Just be sure to do your research is all I can say. Check completed listings to be sure. Although, that can be disheartening at times, because you end up seeing what you've missed. But I have used that to my advantage when I try to haggle with sellers.

One last thing is to check rebelscum.com, as Waller pointed me to. He is wise beyond his years. I opened a thread for the R2's and R5's I'm after, and a seller from eBay who would not accept my offer there, found me and sold to me for a better price than I was expecting. I saved about $80 going that route.

Just not sure I have wall space for three posters. :monkey2

And Kenner was my first Star Wars passion. :lecture

If you don't, nobody around here is going to blame you or judge you for dropping the quest. Not after you've got that sweet example of the original hanging on the wall. I'd be happy with just that. I love ESB, but your poster sums up the entirely of Star Wars for me. So there's that.

And as for Kenner! I've got the bug! :panic: :cuckoo: :hi5:

^ This exactly. You have the most important one. Nothing says you can't collect both.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

An AFA graded Amanaman at 90 recently went for about $130 and one at 80 went for about $80. I don't really care if it's AFA graded as I prefer to be able to hold the actual figure in my hand. I'll wait it out. No rush for Amanaman.

I always tell people to be patient. It usually pays off well. Create an eBay Saved Search and have it alert you when anything new is listed for Amanaman. That's what I do for Indiana Jones stuff and it really helps. Also since he has such an odd name look for misspellings.

Thanks. I'll give that a try.

To me, the poster is a great item to symbolize my passion as an adult. The toys sum up my passion as a child. I'm pretty sure there will be both in my collection. :lol

I think the word you're looking for is synergistic! :lecture

You and your fancy words. :nana:

And the Star Wars Porno sums up your passion as a pervert. :lol

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I had to look up what it came with. It looks really nice but a lot of those extra armour parts will probably just stay in the box. Kinda high price wise at $250, I think. They're fun figures and if you've never had one you'll really dig it, but I think the RDJ sculpt is just okay at best, but that's my own opinion, and it looks a little light for the price. Still, that's a pretty damn good choice for an IM figure if you're only going to have one.

Hopped on the wait list for the regular version. Seems to be the best option for an IM figure atm.

Mark IV is my favorite, but Mark VII is probably the cheapest red and gold one you can get at this point and it'll make a nice definitive Iron Man if you only want one.
