where did you get your Monger? I have the same itch.
if you guys really feel that way, you need to add iron monger to your collection. i will trade you my factory sealed monger for the iron man mark VII BD promo.
Why even ask?
Between the two, I'd grab Tamashii 3PO, as it seems to me supply is much more limited and the potential flaws with it are greater than Monger. Really the only issue I've seen with Monger is the possibility of some of the lights not working (rare) and the spider cracks on the thighs (unnoticeable in most cases). Just my two cents, but I'd get 3PO while there's still the opportunity to return it for a full refund and buy elsewhere. I really think once it's gone from online retailers it'll be very difficult to source. Monger on the other hand has been available pretty easily from BBTS since it sold out at SSC back in December.
Iron Monger is totally worth the money (supposing you're not torn between two franchises, like me and Wor-Gar... and then it is, after 3PO
). It's one of the few figures where pictures, IMO, do do the figure justice, but all the same it's still more impressive in-hand. The thigh-cracks are really not a problem unless they are prominent in some way. I had to look at mine under just the right light to see it had any. In-hand, it's a true 1:6 work of art. I would also pick BBTS rather than a waitlist conversion. Although Sideshow says they do not send out returns as conversions, I don't have 100% faith in that and would rather buy from BBTS in the same situation. You also know that BBTS has stock to replace yours with, if it does come flawed, unlike SSC.
