Im not sold on the base either, but Batman himself looks fantastic. Im getting weak..

Just heard back from the seller. He was very nice and said that he was going to try and obtain another Batman 1:4 from his distributor. He wants me to return the broken one to him, which I understand, but I don't want to fork over another $40 to send this back to him. :monkey4

I wonder if I would have any luck with the Post Office since I did buy insurance on it. I'm guessing that the PO here would keep the broken item and then the seller would receive the refund from the PO? Even though the box wasn't crushed, the force of an impact could've done the deed.

The problem is if there is no outside appearance of damage to the box the post office won't pay out the claim. I've run into this problem before, with them and UPS [who I'll never use again]. Now if some damage suddenly appears to the shipping box...your odds of getting an insurance claim in your favor rise significantly.

Hmmmm......I can see that happening. :monkey3

:monkey5

The seller is sending me a replacement statue and he's going to file the claim with the Post Office himself. :D

interesting that there is not so much interest to this piece

imho it is a great piece as it is the only PF batman out there, he is in 1/4 scale going nice with cap PF or Hulk PF, and also the limit is not so high.

Not sure if mine shipped but looking forward to it

I am even more excited for this than cap PF as I saw hundreds of pics of cap but not Batman's

I got my 1:4 scale Batman a few days ago, and I gotta say, this thing rocks. The sculpt and costume are awesome. The freakin' cape is huge and very posable. The only thing I might change would be the gold utility belt.
As for the base, its not as orange as it is in the proto pics. It has a more stone feel. Overall its one of my favorite pieces I have..... for now.

Is he two pieces?just wondering if he is attached to the base permanently or not. i don tlike the base at all

Unfortunately, due to money constraints I couldnt afford this piece with all my others orders, so I'll have to hope I can pick this up for a decent price down the line. I'd really hyped myself up for it too:monkey2

This one is REALLY tempting. I don't really collect DC stuff, but I was always a fan of Batman. Only things keeping me from buying one are the ES (how many does DCD make exactly?) and the question of whether another, better PF will come along. If the ES is large enough, these shouldn't be hard to find later on.

ES is 1800 according to the box on mine.

I just got mine, I think its awesome. My only complaint is the belt, the flaps on some of the pouches are bent up a little and the holes are a bit shabby. But the cape is awesome! I wasn't expecting it to feel like leather, and as someone else mentioned it is huge. A bit of a pain to pose, but that's probably because I suck at posing stuff. :lol I think it fits in with my sideshow PF's beautifully. I hope GG can do the Harry Potter ones this well!

Yea, the wires in the cape weren't as strong as I thought, but you can get some good stuff if you keep at it :monkey1

Jase,

What about your Superman?? :lol

You know what that Superman sure takes a beating. It's just not photogentic. It's the paint aps. The sculpt is great IMO and I love my DCD 1/4 Superman. :)

Of course the Batman looks better. But I wished it had Superman's base. That would have looked sweet.
